Victoria Beckham Gets Sheep Placenta Facials

Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham has facials containing sheep placenta.

The 38-year-old star makes regular visits to Beverly Hills' dermatologist Dr. Harold Lancer for the anti-aging treatments, which cost $500 and contain gold particles as well as the animal stem cells.

"Victoria is a devotee of Dr. Lancer's products and is someone who always wants the latest and best in anti-aging treatment. She has had the stem cell facial several times already. She visits the office every two weeks when she is in town," a spokesperson for Dr. Lancer told the Daily Mail.

Dr. Lancer - who also treats Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and Renee Zellweger - says the treatment gives "instant results" and helps reduce wrinkles.

"The treatment provides instant results. Patients report decreased wrinkles and a glowing complexion. The stem cells interact with your own cells, basically telling them to wake up, produce collagen and stimulate new cell growth. Gold particles are included as gold helps to diffuse the stem cells and acts as the transdermal delivery system to help it work into the skin," he explained.

H&M to Launch Luxury Line?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, Rumors,

H&MHennes and Mauritz are rumored to be launching a luxury fashion brand. The Swedish company - which owns COS, Monki , Cheap Monday and retailer H&M which is famed for its designer collaborations - is thought to be planning the new project after it launches its sustainable red carpet range, entitled the Exclusive Glamour Conscious Collection, on April 12.

Designer Behnaz Aram, who joined the company's design team in August last year, is thought to be heading up the new luxury brand.

H&M spokeswoman Charlotta Nemlin refused to confirm the speculation but did admit the company is constantly working on new endeavors. "We are constantly looking at new ideas; it's a natural part of our work. However, there is nothing new that we can [talk] about for the moment," she told WWD.

Michelle Williams has already shown her support for the Exclusive Glamour Conscious Collection line, wearing one of its monochrome floor-length gowns to the BAFTAs in February this year. "H&M approached Michelle Williams's stylist Kate Young and they showed great interest from the start. We felt that this was a fantastic opportunity and a new and exciting way to show our design," an H&M representative previously said, speaking about Michelle.

Erdem Rules Out High Street Collection

Erdem MoraliogluErdem Moralioglu has ruled out launching a high street collection.

The designer gave a public talk with Colin McDowell at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London last night, as part of the Fashion Fringe Roadshow in which he said he will be working on his collections, rather than pieces for the high street.

"It's never been the right moment. If it works for some people, then that's wonderful - but it depends on where you're at. For me, it's really important to concentrate on your collection and your own work. Once you start looking at versions of your work, it can get a bit dangerous. One can do it really well and in an interesting way though," he said.

Erdem also played down his links to Dior, and was cagey about being touted as a possible successor for disgraced designer John Galliano: "Anything like that is a compliment. But you just have to concentrate on your job and what you're doing."

Jennifer Aniston: Beauty Cost Claims are Exaggerated

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty, Rumors,

Jennifer AnistonJennifer Aniston insists claims she spends $8,000 a month on beauty regime are "greatly exaggerated."

The 43-year-old former Friends actress was reported to invest a massive $96,000 a year in looking good. According to website Shine, Jennifer splurges $900 a week on private yoga sessions, and subscribes to a $350 a week home delivery food service. On top of that, the report also claims she forks out $450 for a neck ointment by Euoko, and $450 on regular Tracie Martyn facials amongst numerous other expensive products and treatments.

But while she admits she loves a good beauty product as much as the next woman, she insists her regime costs her no where near as much.

"Although I am a sucker for an amazing moisturizer, love a great facial, have been using the same cleansing bar since I was a teenager and have always been a dedicated tooth-brusher, reports that I am spending eight thousand a month on a beauty regime are greatly exaggerated. By my tally, this month I'm in for about $200," she told People.

Haider Ackermann Hints at Dior Possibility

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, Rumors,

Haider AckermannHaider Ackermann has fuelled speculation he is interested in the vacant role at Christian Dior by revealing his desire to work at an established fashion house.

The designer - who has his own eponymous label - has previously been linked with the French fashion house, which has been searching for a new creative director for almost a year following the sacking of John Galliano and now says there are only two couture brands he would love to work for.

"There are two houses I would be interested in. Two where I feel there is shared sensibility, and I could bring something else of myself to the house, which isn't expressed in my own line,"

Haider has also previously been linked to the creative director role at Chanel, and says he doesn't understand people who complain about the pressure which he comes with taking over at an established fashion house: "Look, let's be honest. You can't just blame the system. We are all responsible for our own lives. I find it difficult when people complain about the pressure. This is fashion, it's not surgery. It's a job; a job with a lot of dreams woven in."

Nicole Farhi: Celebrities Get Paid to be on Catwalk Front Rows

Nicole FarhiNicole Farhi claims celebrities are being paid tens of thousands of dollars to appear on the front row at catwalk runway shows. The designer has called the alleged system "unprofessional" and "stupid" because it results in more interest being paid to the stars attending such events rather than the clothes on display.

"It is so unprofessional. I have never paid a celebrity and I will never do it. It's stupid. What do they show you in the papers after a fashion show? Not the clothes, but the celebrities who are being paid to sit at the show."

Following her comments, the 65-year-old French-born designer is expecting to be snubbed by fellow designers, but she doesn't "give a s**t" because she feels so strongly about the issue: "They will all hate me for it. I don't give a s**t because I think it is abominable."

Christopher Kane Ruled Out of Dior Job

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, Rumors,

Christopher KaneChristopher Kane has ruled himself out of taking over at Christian Dior.

The Scottish designer - who was one of a number of names pinned to the role formerly held by John Galliano - has revealed he has not been approached but is "flattered" people believe he could do the job.

"While it is incredibly flattering that I could be considered for a role at a house such as Dior at this stage in my career, I can confirm that I have not been approached. I am focused on developing my own label and my ongoing collaboration with Donatella Versace for Versus.''

Raf Simons is firm favorite to take on the highly-prized position at the French fashion house following his departure from Jil Sander, but as yet it has not been confirmed.

Emanuel Ungaro Loses CEO?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, News, Rumors,

Jeffry AronssonJeffry Aronsson is believed to have left Emanuel Ungaro. The fashion house's chief executive officer (CEO) - who joined the company in June to "heal the bruises" of the label - has reportedly stopped commuting to Paris and is believed to have permanently returned to his investment and consulting firm Aronsson Group.

"Mr. Aronsson is still the acting CEO of Ungaro," Ungaro told WWD.

If the executive's departure is true, it is the latest in a string of high-profile exits from the fashion house. Giles Deacon became the sixth designer to leave in as many years when he quit in September after just two seasons. Before his exit, the company has seen Giambattista Valli, Vincent Darre, Peter Dundas, Esteban Cortazar and Estrella Archs work short stints for them since their founder retired in 2004.

Following his departure earlier this year, Giles said he was "proud" of what he had achieved at the French fashion house, but was keen to work ore with his Giles brand. He said, "I am very proud of the work that I - and my team - did at Ungaro, and it was a pleasure to work in Monsieur Ungaro's studio and with members of his actual atelier. I am going to concentrate on the global development of the Giles brand with some exciting one-off projects in the pipeline for next year - and I'm really excited about presenting the Giles Spring/Summer 2012 collection on Monday evening."

Marc Jacobs Out of the Dior Picture

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Fashion Designers, Rumors,

Marc JacobsWhile he initially looked like a shoe-in for John Galilano's former job at Christian Dior, word around the fashion circles is that Bernard Arnault isn't too keen on shaking things up over at LVMH.

Other top candidates include Phoebe Philo and Riccardo Tisci; however, both seem keen to stay at Celine and Givenchy, respectively. Alexander Wang, Raf Simons, and Jason Wu are some rumored names being thrown into the ring, but no official word has been released on anyone just yet.

With Jacobs out of the running, the current popular opinion suggests that a post-rehab Galliano is the only one fit to hold the position. After all, both Manolo Blahnik and Franca Sozzani have expressed their desire to see him return, and Jean-Paul Gaultier has also stood behind the controversial former Dior creative director.

Galliano is currently still in rehab.

Kate Moss’ Model Sister

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Models, News,

Lottie MossLike sister, like sister! Kate Moss' 13-year-old half sister has made her modeling debut.

Charlotte 'Lottie' Moss - daughter of Kate's father Peter Moss and his second wife Inger - posed last month for her first test shoot, which was arranged by Sarah Doukas at Storm Models, the agency who first discovered Kate at the age of 14.

"It's early days really. Storm, Kate's agent, felt that it was worth giving Lottie a test shoot and seeing how she turned out. She had a lovely time and she seemed to come out quite well - so everybody's happy so far. It will be very strictly controlled because she's not 14 yet so it's very early days. It will all be left to Sarah and Simon at Storm to decide what the best way ahead is. So we're going to have a chat with them later in the year, possibly before Christmas, just to decide how to go forward. It was a nice experience [for Lottie] to have a good photographer and the life of a photographic model, a day in the life as it were, but an exciting day for her. Well, you have to take advantage of any opportunities that come along haven't you? If things work out for Lottie and she eventually gets some work it could help her in her future. It's getting harder and harder to get jobs, university and things like that - so if she can get a couple of jobs early on and get something behind her maybe it makes life easier," said Lottie's dad Peter.
