Beyoncé‘s Dress to Sell for $250,000

One of Beyonce's biggest fans has offered to buy the dress she wore to the Grammy Awards for $250,000.
The "XO" hitmaker, who caused controversy with her steamy performance at the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night, wore a white and sheer gown by Project Runway designer Michael Costello on the red carpet and he is currently debating whether to sell the delicate ensemble.
"There's a guy who's an obsessive Beyonce fan who offered us $250,000 for the dress. It's crazy. I'm debating. I want to keep it! It's a dream come true," he told People.com.
Michael made six dresses for the 32-year-old star for the event and previously admitted he was wowed by her "tiny, amazing" body. The blonde beauty, who is married to rapper Jay Z with whom she has a two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, reportedly dropped 70 pounds in recent months after following a largely vegetarian diet. Once known for her curvy figure, Beyonce is now said to be a size 2.

Weinsteins to Accessorize Project Runway

It’ll be all about the details in a new project from The Weinstein Co.
The producers behind Project Runway are about to add a new reality program to their fashion-based arsenal. According to Deadline.com, the Bravo-turned-Lifetime series will spawn a new spinoff: Project Runway: Accessories
Accessories would be just one of several spinoffs already connected to Runway. Tim Guide’s Guide to Style, Models of the Runway and On the Road with Austin and Santino have all seen their time on air.
Although it’s unclear what challenges the future designers might face, I imagine we would probably see the final creations somehow integrated into a future episode of Runway.

Project Runway Welcomes Tory Burch

Over the past few weeks, Project Runway has invited both Matthew Williamson and Georgina Chapman (Marchesa) to guest as a judge on the reality show. This time around, it will be Tory Burch’s turn.
During her appearance, the American fashion designer - who is widely known for her tunics and Reva ballet flats - will challenge the contestants to design outfits for children.
“Tory is such a successful designer because her collections, for girls and their moms alike, are both aspirational and accessible,” Jane Chan, Runway’s executive producer explained to People.
Burch - who coincidentally appeared in the same Gossip Girl episode as Chapman last fall - can be seen this Thursday @ 10:00 on Lifetime.
Christian Siriano Unveils Spring Payless Collection

Project Runway graduate Christian Siriano debuted his Spring/Summer ‘10 shoe line during New York Fashion Week yesterday, just as his initial collection hit Payless stores last week.
From what can only be described as “talon-heeled” pumps, dare I say that the line looks fiercer than his last collection? Then again, Payless will most likely water down the designs somewhat so as to avoid customer injuries (one of the models during the show almost fell on the runway).
I have to admit that my eyes are thoroughly enjoying the booty/Mary Jane hybrids and eccentric prints.

Struggling Model Heidi Klum

Despite her entrepreneurial and worldwide fame, Heidi Klum “couldn’t book a job” when she started modeling.
The 36-year-old star expected it to be easy to launch her career after winning a $300,000 modeling contract on the 1992 television show Model 92, but initially found it hard to find work.
“After winning I thought, ‘This is my ticket. Things will happen.’ But they didn’t—I could never book a job. I was walking around New York for three or four years,” she explained.
Heidi, who raises three children with husband Seal and is currently pregnant with her fourth, says everything changed for her when she was spotted at a Victoria’s Secret show.
She now regularly makes it onto the Forbes list of highest earning models, raking in $16 million to take the second place in the latest edition.

Tim Gunn Loves Lindsay Lohan

Despite the fact that Rachel Zoe has her hands picking out the clothes that brandish her wardrobe, Linsday Lohan has been called “extremely knowledgeable” about fashion.
The 23-year-old actress starred as a guest judge on the sixth season of Project Runway and has been lauded by the show’s consultant Tim Gunn:
“I was surprised and pleased by how extremely knowledgeable about fashion and articulate Lindsay Lohan was. She’s very young and can be portrayed in ways that aren’t all together flattering, and she was a true states person and really weighed in on the designers and what they were doing exceptionally well. And it was really a thrill to have her.”
Tim has also praised show host Heidi Klum—who is currently expecting a daughter with husband Seal, with whom she already raises three children—for her sense of style. He told People, “Heidi has incredible style no matter what condition she’s in, and she looks fabulous in everything. She just always knows what she looks best in and she’s remarkable. I marvel at her all the time.”
Despite being a successful model, the most important thing in Heidi’s life is her family. Tim revealed, “Seal and her kids always come first, and frankly we schedule things around that. I have the greatest respect for her. She’s very, very grounded.”

In a pre-taped message, actress Nicole Kidman stunned the designers when she made a huge announcement: the challenge winner would get the opportunity to see their red carpet creation at the upcoming premiere of Nine. What she didn’t say is who would wear it.

Nina Garcia Guest Stars on The Beautiful Life

Despite her positions as Marie Claire‘s fashion director and resident judge on Project Runway, Nina Garcia is trying her hand at fictional fare.
As if not wanting to venture far from her world, Garcia is set to appear on the fashion-centric television drama The Beautiful Life.
Created by model-turned-actor Ashton Kutcher, the CW series focuses on the lives of struggling models in New York City.
While there is no word yet as to what her character is like nor whether she will be recurring, Garcia spent two days on the set and is confirmed for at least one episode.
The series is scheduled to hit the small screen on September 16th.
