Victoria Beckham Collection Hijacked

Greatly resembling an outrageous, fictional plot, Victoria Beckham is sadly the victim of grand theft.

Nearly worth $600,000, Beckham’s dress collection (estimated at 50 to 75 pieces) were stolen last Thursday while en route to the airport for delivery to New York.

“Everyone from Madonna to Elle Macpherson has been seen wearing Victoria’s dresses and, as a result, they’ve developed a money-can’t-buy exclusivity about them. This operation was meticulously planned. The thieves must feel they can make a fortune selling the collection on the black market. The lorry was on its way to the airport where the spring/summer collection was to be flown to New York designers Neiman Marcus. After pick-up from Victoria’s London offices, the van was followed to another address,” a source said.

Cameras taped the robbery; however, the thieves’ license plate is too blurry to decipher. The dresses are expected to be remade (each dress reportedly has over 4,000 people on the waiting list).

That was until she turned her American Idol appearances into a fashion show. That was also before I saw her short film, “Swings,” (above) which showcases her Fall/Winter 2009 collection.
