Lady Gaga has been named one of the world’s best dressed women.
The “Bad Romance” singer and cover girl - famed for her eccentric fashion sense - was included on Vanity Fair magazine’s annual International Best Dressed List and joined the likes of First Lady Michelle Obama, Carey Mulligan and Diane Kruger.
Lady Gaga was a newcomer on the list and was praised for her outlandish headwear and over-the-top outfits. Michelle made the list for the fourth consecutive year and won approval for being a trendsetter. “Michelle Obama plays a very important role in fashion right now. People who make the list are individuals. They don’t look like everyone else. They tend to be fashion leaders, not followers,” said Vanity Fair’s special correspondent Amy Fine Collins.
Actress Carey Mulligan was noted for her “existential pixie” look and mixing high street with designers. Samantha Cameron - wife of British Prime Minister - also made the list, becoming the first visibly pregnant woman to make the poll. Others included on the prestigious list include France’s First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, soccer star David Beckham, siblings Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal and designer John Galliano.
