Naked Christian Louboutin Shoe Test

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, Health & Beauty,
Christian Louboutin measures how good his shoes are by what they look like on a naked woman. The footwear designer says any good shoe should be able to make a female body look sexy without the help of any clothes.
“The ultimate must still look good when a woman is naked. The design that encapsulates my career is the Pigalle, a low-cut, high-heeled pump. It’s so subtle in that it adds something sexy to the body, but you don’t immediately realize that it’s the shoe that is making the difference.”
Christian says his obsession with shoes came after seeing showgirls wear them: “My interest in shoes came from showgirls. Apart from feathers, there is nothing else to the outfit than their shoes. I thought about being a shoe designer when I was about 12-years-old, but it wasn’t until I was in my mid-teens that I realized it could be my real job.”
Christian - whose high-heeled designs have become a favorite among a host of celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss - recently claimed a good pair of shoes help transform a woman’s attitude. “When women put on a pair of beautiful shoes they instantly hold themselves differently. Shoes transform your body language and attitude. They lift you physically and emotionally. I remember watching a Spanish woman in my shop try on some heels. She instantly stood up taller, her chest went out and her shoulders went back. She told her friend that they were better than a face lift.”

Fashion photographer Miles Aldridge shoots Charlotte di Calypso for Italian Vogue‘s Beauty supplement looking gorgeous… but creepy.
Styled by Cathy Kasterine, Charlotte wears ChloĆ©, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney with some interesting (yet sleek!) hair styles. In the above photo, I can’t help but notice the the resemblance to Tavi.
If you’re into the clothes (or the mannequin-esque looks!), check out the rest of the photos after the jump.

Joan Collins Frowns Upon Plastic Surgery

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Actress Joan Collins thinks women who have cosmetic surgery look “ghastly.”
The 77 year-old doesn’t see the appeal of going under the surgeon’s knife and finds it “terrifying” people will go to so many lengths in a bid to hold on to their youthful looks.
“Women who turn to cosmetic procedures look ghastly. They don’t look like themselves. I quite like the way I look, I’m quite happy with the way I look and I really don’t want to change it. In front of the camera my skin probably isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. But, I mean, what the hell, everybody’s got to get older. I think there’s something rather terrifying about people who are in their 50s or 60s trying to look 30 or 40.”
Joan also hit out at today’s female celebrities, saying they need to look more glamorous. “When I was young, everybody on screen was gorgeous. I have to say, there aren’t that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there’s Angelina Jolie and there’s… Angelina Jolie. Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn’t call her beautiful. She’s no Ava Gardner or Lana Turner. I think that is why Cheryl Cole is so popular, because she is just so pretty and the public are starved of gorgeous people.”
Rachel Weisz has become the new face of L’Oreal Paris.
The stunning actress has signed a deal with the cosmetics firm to appear in the brand’s TV and print advertisements and says it’s a dream come true.
“I am honored to be the new ambassador of L’Oreal Paris, which values both beauty and diversity.”
Cyril Chapuy, global brand president of L’Oreal Paris, says Rachel was chosen because women can relate to her: “Rachel Weisz is a determined and a forward-thinking woman, a brilliant and an engaged actress. Women can identify with her.”
Rachel follows in the footsteps of Diane Kruger, Aishwarya Rai, Patrick Dempsey, Gong Li, Andie MacDowell and Beyonce Knowles in becoming a L’Oreal spokesperson.
Justin Bieber is releasing a range of nail polishes.
The 16-year-old Canadian heartthrob is planning to launch the range - exclusively to Wal-Mart ahead of a further release in Target and Sears - in December, with colors inspired by his hit singles. Among the planned shades are “One Less Lonely Girl” (lavender), “Give Me The First Dance” (silver), “Step 2 the Beat of My Heart” (glitter) and “Me + Blue” (dark blue). A total of six colors will be released in December before a further eight in January.
The nail polish is the latest in a long line of Justin Bieber-themed products - the “Baby” singer already has a bedding range, dolls and toys. He is also one of the faces of spot cream Proactive alongside Jessica Simpson and Katy Perry.
Speaking about the acne-fighting product, Justin revealed he uses it to keep himself clean ahead of his busy work schedule: “I know that for a teenager, it doesn’t matter how many people are looking at you, you don’t want acne on your face. I’m in the limelight all the time. I’m constantly doing interviews, constantly doing photo shoots and, you know, I’m determined to keep myself clear. Using Proactiv will help that.”

Jimmy Choo to Unveil Perfume

Tamara Mellon is to launch a Jimmy Choo fragrance.
The shoe tycoon is to launch the perfume next year after having signed a 12-year contract with Inter Parfums, the company responsible for the scents of fashion houses Burberry, Lanvin and Paul Smith. Rumors of a Jimmy Choo fragrance have been circulating within the fashion world for some time, and Mellon has made no secret of the fact that she believes that a perfume is an “integral part of the modern wardrobe.”
“It has always been my vision to fully accessorize the woman, and fragrance is an integral part of the modern wardrobe. I look forward to bringing this important aspect of my vision to life.”

Renee Zellweger Swears By Carolina Herrera

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, Health & Beauty,
A-list actress Renee Zellweger always chooses gowns by the same designer for red carpet events.
The Oscar-winning actress admits that when it comes to big events, she always goes to Carolina Herrera, as she trusts the “classic” tailoring of the Venezuelan-born fashion designer.
“It’s classic. It’s beautifully tailored. No surprises.”
However, the 41-year-old star revealed she doesn’t select pieces by Carolina Herrera only for their aesthetic charm, but because she would feel too guilty if she had a whole host of designers creating pieces she would never end up wearing: “I can’t have 90 people making things for me that I might not wear. To have so many people expend so much effort potentially for nothing - I wouldn’t sleep at night.”
The slim star - who in the past has been known to stick to a strict macrobiotic diet of fish and vegetables - has reportedly put on 10lbs in recent months after boyfriend Bradley Cooper told her he likes women with “a little more meat on their bones.”
“She banned dairy a long time ago but Bradley loves ice cream and cheese and Renee’s started to join in. Potatoes are back on the menu, too. Bradley’s convinced her to loosen up and she’s loving it. Bradley’s been very vocal in telling her he’s more attracted to women with a little meat on their bones and Renee’s doing her best to oblige him.”
Christina Hendricks Carries a Heavy Load

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Mad Men star Christina Hendricks thinks that her sex symbol image is a “heavy load” to carry. The 35-year-old beauty admitted that while she loves being an inspiration to women around the world, it can be a burden.
“It was quite a compliment to be acknowledged like that, but it’s a heavy load. It is a wonderful thing that she said but I’m not going to feel responsible for anyone or anything. If I’ve made someone feel better about their curves then that would make me feel really proud.”
However, Christina - who is married to actor Geoffrey Arnaud - revealed she goes through phases of being unhappy with her body.
“I’ve always been pretty healthy about my figure. It’s just my body, you know. Every once in a while someone says something that’s a little inappropriate, but for the most part people are nice. Of course I’ve had moments when I’ve stressed about it but what woman doesn’t? Instead of dwelling on it unhealthily, I try to do something about it, like going to the gym with my husband, or I just try to work out why I’m feeling that way and shake it off.”
