-If the Today Show makes a statement saying Matt Lauer isn’t cheating on his wife, then the rumors must not be true - okay? So stop asking why he hasn’t been sleeping at home.

-Not wishing to be tased by police anymore, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has checked himself into rehab. Brendon has been battling alcohol problems for several years now.

-Speaking of BTVS, there’s some bad news for actress Emma Caulfield as well. The 37-year-old is splitting from Cornelius Grobbelaar, her husband of over three years.

-Valerie Bertinelli may have lost a lot of weight, but she’s just gained a lot of baggage. The TV personality is now engaged to longtime boyfriend Tom Vitale.

-Audrina Patridge finally realized she could never tame Ryan Cabrera’s hair - or his “partying ways.” The reality star broke up with the singer “about a week ago.”

VIDEO: Meredith Baxer Reveals She’s a Lesbian

After years of playing wife and mother Elyse Keaton on Family Ties, Meredith Baxter (formerly Meredith Baxter-Birney) made a big reveal on the Today show this morning: she’s a lesbian.

The news comes following reports by the National Enquirer that the actress was recently spotted on a cruise sponsored by a lesbian travel company. Pictures of the 62-year-old and her partner of four years, Nancy Locke, were also posted on Perez Hilton yesterday.

Meredith, who has been divorced three times, said her self-discovery didn’t come until fairly recently. “I am a lesbian and it was a later-in-life recognition of that fact,” she claimed. “Some people were saying ‘Were you living a lie?’ And, you know, the truth is — not at all. This has only been like the past seven years.”

Alanis Morissette’s New Album and New Body

Earlier this week, singer Alanis Morissette hit the Today show stage to promote her latest album, Flavors of Entanglement. (You can see a clip from the concert after the jump.) And while the fans should have been focusing on her new single (“Underneath”), they couldn’t help but notice the 33-year-old’s new body.

Even though it was hard denying Morissette had seen better days, it wasn’t her obvious weight gain that bothered me. (Sadly, she’s probably just a Size 4 now.) I just wanted to know where her stylist was! Yes, we know her ex is now newly engaged...but that was no reason for her to dress so poorly. The ill-fitting pants or unflattering vest just weren’t necessary.

C’mon, Alanis. Performers like Jordin Sparks have already proven you can be larger and beautiful too!
