Prince, Diana Ross and Spike Lee are among the witnesses who could be called in the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial.
The late star's mother Katherine Jackson has accused promoters AEG Live of being negligent in ignoring health concerns over her son and hiring Dr. Conrad Murray - the physician who was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of the star following his passing in 2009 - and it has now been revealed who could take to the stand in the case. As well as the two singers and the director, Michael's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, his three children Prince, 16, Paris, 14, and Blanket, nine, producer Quincy Jones, choreographer Kenny Ortega and several of the "Thriller" hitmaker's siblings could be called to give evidence, ET Online reports.
However, despite his inclusion on the list, insiders predict Prince is unlikely to testify. Music blogger Dr. Funkenberry explained to the New York Post newspaper, "Prince is so far down on the witness list, he will more than likely never get called."

Brad Pitt Wants Death Penalty For Oil Spill Executives

Environmentally-conscious Brad Pitt has hinted the executives responsible for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill deserve the death penalty.
The Inglourious Basterds star speaks out against those behind the oil rig explosion in April - which caused the worst environmental disaster in US history with millions of gallons of oil flooding into the sea - in a new documentary If God is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise.
“I was never for the death penalty before - I am willing to look at it again,” Brad said of the people responsible for the disaster.
The oil spill, which happened after an explosion on the BP operated Deepwater Horizon rig, resulted in the decimation of wildlife and habitat of marine and coastal animals, as well as loss of livelihood for many fishermen and other people who depend of the area for work. As yet the root cause of the disaster remains unconfirmed.
Brad’s comments are at the end of the documentary, filmed by Spike Lee, about the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the city of New Orleans, Louisiana - the closest major US city to the Deepwater rig - five years after the hurricane devastated the city, leaving 80 per cent of it waterlogged. Brad spearheaded the Make it Right project after the natural disaster, which built 150 affordable and sustainable homes in one of the areas of New Orleans that was worst hit.

Hollywood Stands United Behind New President-Elect

“God knows I fought hard for the other side,” The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck admitted on-air. “Today is a victory for this country,” she even managed a smile. “No one lost today.” Her comments, a shade different than her rabid Republican rantings of episodes past, are similar to the words of other celebs who today are celebrating a page in history. Who, today, are celebrating the stunning victory of a man named Barack Obama. “I haven’t felt this good,” she poured out seemingly heartfelt joy for the new President-elect, the first Democrat to get into the White House since Bill Clinton - and she isn’t alone.
