Sylvester Stallone: Twitter Gets Me in Trouble
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Rants, Features,
Sylvester Stallone avoids social media because it gets him into "trouble."
The legendary actor found himself in hot water last year for criticizing fellow Hollywood star Bruce Willis on Twitter - after Bruce dropped out of his movie The Expendables 3 over a pay dispute - and he now chooses to be very "careful" about using social networking websites.
"Every time I use social media I get really in trouble! I think George Clooney said it best when he said you've got to be an idiot to be celebrity and use Twitter. You wake up in the morning when you're sober and your career is over! You've got to be really, really careful. You think you're a genius up there in the middle of the night and you wake up an idiot," he explained.
The 67-year-old star admits he isn't technologically savvy and doesn't quite understand the purpose of photo sharing mobile app, Instagram. "Everyone keeps wanting me to get on Instagram. Is that for younger people, Instagram? For, like, pervs? 'Here we are at the hospital getting our back checked' or 'I'm on dialysis... here we are!' I'm really basic with the iPhone. I think I've figured out how the camera works and that's about it. I keep it very simple," he quipped.

Kimye to Forgo Money for North Photos, Will Unveil Them Online
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Music, Television, Celebrity Babies, Photos, Rumors,
In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are rumored to be following in the footsteps of their besties Jay-Z and Beyonce.
The new parents of one are rumored to be ditching the lucrative deals thrown at them by the likes of Vanity Fair so that they can post photos of their firstborn, North, through a social media site.
Whether it's because West doesn't want to "pimp out" his child (as UsMagazine reports he said) or because Kimye wants so hard to be like beloved power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce, it's unfair that the supposed $4 million offered to them for North's photos will no longer go towards a charity, as momager Kim Jenner previously stated it would.
I guess we'll just have to keep our eyes peeled and glued to Kanye's and Kim's Twitter accounts to find out their final decision.

"For lack of a better verb, the media came and f--ked [Twitter] up... The bigger vision for Twitter when Jack [Dorsey] created it was to empower communication to happen as things were taking place. Now it's just a bunch of companies and people constantly pitching crap."

Edward Norton Not Big on Social Networking
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Charity,
Edward Norton thinks social networking sites are like “torture.” Unlike many other celebrities, the Leaves of Grass actor has never written an internet blog because he hates the idea of people cyber stalking him.
“I haven’t personally really engaged in a lot of this new kind of social networking stuff like Twitter or Facebook or MySpace,” the 40-year-old star explained. “I mean, the notion of people following what I am doing every day is like torture for me. It’s absolutely the last thing that I’m looking for. It seems to me to be really just about social chatter.”
Despite his web worries, Edward agreed to sign up on Twitter to help raise money for his favorite charity, the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust.
“It’s a good example of a way that you can turn that platform into something where you actually can accomplish something good,” he added to Parade magazine. “It’s my first attempt. We’re putting our running training log on Twitter. You can see can see pictures too on the site there. The trust conserves the wildlife and culture of the Maasai tribe of Kenya, Africa.”
