Kim Cattrall Says Cougar Stereotype is Over

Kim Cattrall wants to make the most of being comfortable with sex.
The 51-year-old actress - famed for her man-eating character in the Sex and the City series and movies - says she’s over the trend of older women dating younger men and thinks the stereotype of a so called “cougar” is dead.
“Cougar is passe. I think we’re on to something else now. It’s not about kitten or cougar - we’re moving beyond those stereotypes. It’s about so much more than just being a woman on the prowl - there’s a lot more going on than that. We’ve done the work, let’s enjoy the party. Let’s not limit ourselves to labels. ‘Cougar’ makes it all feel one-dimensional. It’s not.”
Kim, who recently split from her toyboy chef boyfriend Alan Wyse, says she owes a lot to her on-screen alter-ego for showing the world that women who enjoy sex also have other important things going on in their lives: “It’s why I feel ‘cougar’ is way over now. It’s gone beyond that. It’s about a fully realized woman who works and plays and is successful and does all those things on her own terms. That’s much more rounded than a cougar could ever be.”

No Cosmos for Kristin Davis

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis (we know her best as Charlotte York-Goldenblatt) recently sat down with Health magazine to talk Sex, cosmopolitans and her past. What she revealed may seem more than surprising to die-hard Sex fans.
You’re in a fashionable Manhattan club when you notice Kristin Davis sitting some stools away. If your first impulse is to tell the barkeep to send a cosmo over her way, resist. In her interview, Davis admitted that she used to suffer from alcoholism - and she never touches the bevy of free cocktails she receives from faithful fans. “I get sent many a cosmo,” Davis admitted. “I never drink them…Why risk it?”
Unlike her happily married character, Davis, 43, is still a single gal with no kids to call her own. She would, however “love to have children.” Davis said she admires Angelina Jolie, and would consider adoption. But let’s not cash it all in just yet. Kristin also admitted “I would still like to find a man and have a baby with him.” Just remember, guys, cosmos definitely aren’t the way to her heart.

Although I’m sure most people don’t really care about Cynthia Nixon‘s sexual orientation, I’m sure most of us were at least a little shocked when the news first broke out.
I distinctly remember feeling like I had seen this story somewhere before—like on the HBO series. Remember when Samantha shocked everyone by randomly appearing with a new woman (Sonia Braga)? I mean it wasn’t like Nixon hadn’t been linked to a man before.
Prior to meeting education activist Christine Marinoni, the Sex and the City actress had been involved in a long relationship (15 years!!) with Danny Mozes. Nixon was also a mother of two children when her new romance started back in 2003.
