Jessica Simpson Accused of Staging Baby Pictures

Jessica SimpsonJessica Simpson is being sued by a man, who claims she made it appear that his baby was her own.

Christopher Hurst has accused the Fashion Star mentor, who is set to give birth to her second child next month with her fiance Eric Johnson, of conspiring with OK! magazine to make money by posing for a photo with his son, which later appeared on the front cover of the publication.

According to court documents, obtained by The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, Christopher took his teenager daughter and baby boy to meet Jessica, 32, at a department store in October 2011, when the singer was pregnant with her daughter, Maxwell. The lawsuit claims that a stranger suggested that he let Jessica hold his son and Chris claims a photographer then came out of nowhere and started snapping pictures of the blonde beauty holding the infant. He says he was stunned when the images appeared on the front cover of OK! with headlines that made it appear his son was Jessica's child.

Amanda Bynes Still Claims She’s Going to Sue Tabloids

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Movies, Television, Drugs, Rants, Photos,

Amanda Bynes on 'inTouch'All bark and no bite? Amanda Bynes recently claimed (again) that she's going to sue InTouch for publishing a false story which features supposed photos of her in a New York apartment surrounded by drugs.

Naturally, the actress went to Twitter to spew her disapproval: "I have to sue because that's not my apartment, those aren't my clothes!... [The magazine] morphed photos of my face onto someone's body to ruin my life!... I don't care enough to keep talking about it. Just assume that I f--ked the boyfriend of the editor of intouch because they f--king hate me!"

An older photo of Bynes appears on the cover of the magazine, which the former Nickelodeon star also didn't appreciate, as she's since undergone plastic surgery to amend her (supposed) facial imperfections: "I have to make a big deal of this and sue because that's not me! I care about my appearance so I have to defend myself! I look like a different person now that I had surgery."

InTouch has yet to comment about the alleged libel.

Rob Kardashian Charged

Rob KardashianRob Kardashian has been charged with petty theft and battery. The reality TV star was charged with one count of each misdemeanor after allegedly attacking a photographer and stealing her equipment in an altercation in Los Angeles in March.

The criminal charges come shortly after the alleged victim, Andra Vaik, filed a lawsuit for alleged robbery and assault over the row, which was sparked by her taking a shirtless picture of him as he worked out at the gym. "While this case is still in the preliminary stage, it is clear from our investigation that Robert Kardashian's violent behavior and his use of force towards Ms. Vaik was completely unjustified," Andra's lawyer said last month.

Rob - who has been struggling with his weight ever since breaking up with singer Rita Ora last December - insists the paparazzo was trespassing on private property in order to get a shot of him. He says he was justified in snatching the memory card out of the camera, with eye-witnesses backing up his claim the photographer was lying in wait in her car in the garage at his West Hollywood gym. Andra filed a robbery report at the time, despite the 26-year-old star insisting he would pay her back.

Michael Jackson and Diana RossPrince, Diana Ross and Spike Lee are among the witnesses who could be called in the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial.

The late star's mother Katherine Jackson has accused promoters AEG Live of being negligent in ignoring health concerns over her son and hiring Dr. Conrad Murray - the physician who was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of the star following his passing in 2009 - and it has now been revealed who could take to the stand in the case. As well as the two singers and the director, Michael's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, his three children Prince, 16, Paris, 14, and Blanket, nine, producer Quincy Jones, choreographer Kenny Ortega and several of the "Thriller" hitmaker's siblings could be called to give evidence, ET Online reports.

However, despite his inclusion on the list, insiders predict Prince is unlikely to testify. Music blogger Dr. Funkenberry explained to the New York Post newspaper, "Prince is so far down on the witness list, he will more than likely never get called."

Michael Jackson’s Son to Testify in Wrongful Death Case

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Legal Issues, Rumors,

Prince JacksonMichael Jackson's son will testify at his wrongful death lawsuit trial.

Prince Jackson will take the stand in his grandmother Katherine Jackson's civil case against AEG Live - which accuses the company of being responsible for negligently hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to care for the late King of Pop - and is expected to give evidence on conversations he had with his father about the concert promoter.

"Prince absolutely plans on testifying. Prince very much wants to take the stand and plans to tell jurors about specific conversations he had with his father about AEG. Prince will also testify about the fateful day his father died, as he was an eyewitness to the efforts that were made to save his life," a source said.

In the lawsuit, Katherine, 82, contends that AEG Live - which was behind the late singer's This Is It comeback concerts at The O2 arena in London - were responsible for Dr. Murray, who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter following Michael's death, and failed to properly vet the physician before hiring him. The "Thriller" hitmaker died in June 2009 after being administered a lethal dose of Propofol by Murray.

Pedestrian Wants $185,000 from Russell Brand

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Legal Issues,

Russell BrandRussell Brand is being sued for $185,000 in damages by a pedestrian. The comedian - who was first sued for $25,000 by Victor Sneed last year - has now been hit by an even bigger legal claim as the alleged victim claims he needs greater financial compensation after being mowed down by a car last October, which he says Russell was driving.

Victor alleges his mammoth medical bill needs to be paid for injuries to his left hand, left arm, left hip, neck and left wrist. He claims he's already spent $45,000 in medical expenses and will need yet another $140,000 for future surgeries.

However, Russell has strongly denied the claims and refuses to cough up the cash, believing Victor's "own negligence" was to blame for the accident. A court document reads, "Under the provisions of the California Code of Civil Procedure, [Russell Brand] denies both generally and specially each, every and all of the allegations contained in the Complaint, and denies that plaintiff [Victor Sneed] sustained damages in the sum alleged, or in any other sum or at all. Plaintiff is barred from any recovery on the basis that the plaintiff's own negligence was the sole and proximate cause of the accident and injuries he sustained."

Katherine Jackson’s Lawsuit to Go to Trial

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Legal Issues,

Katherine JacksonKatherine Jackson's civil lawsuit against AEG Live will go to trial.

Katherine wants the concert promoter to face action as she says they were responsible for hiring Doctor Conrad Murray to care for her son Michael Jackson prior to his death from acute Propofol intoxication in 2009.

And while Superior Court Judge Yvette Palazuelos dismissed all but one claim in Katherine's lawsuit, her allegation AEG negligently hired and supervised Dr. Murray while he cared for her son will go to trial. The ruling dismissed claims AEG could be held liable for Murray's conduct and breached its duty to properly care for the pop superstar.

The trial will start on April 2.

AEG Live was promoting Michael's This Is It comeback concerts at The O2 arena in London, but the "Thriller" hitmaker died in June 2009, aged 50, while in final preparations for the shows after Murray administered a lethal dose of the anaesthetic Propofol in Michael's bedroom.

Mary J. Blige Owes $900,000 in Taxes

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Legal Issues,

Mary J. BligeMary J. Blige has been slapped with a huge tax bill. The 42-year-old singer - who was sued earlier this month for allegedly defaulting on a $500,000 bank loan - owes $901,769.65 to the State of New Jersey.

According to documents seen by gossip website TMZ.com, the 'No More Drama' singer owes the huge sum in back taxes and it is the latest in a string of financial problems for the star. A lawsuit filed by Bank of America in New York State Supreme Court earlier this month accused her of failing to make re-payments on a $500,000 loan she took out in 2005 since June 2012.

In another lawsuit filed last November, the singer and her husband, Martin Isaacs were also accused of defaulting on a $2.2 million loan from Manhattan's Signature Bank. The financial institution is seeking the full loan amount, which was taken out in October 2011 and due to be paid back by July 2012, along with $58,000 in interest.

The "Family Affair" singer's production company, Mary Jane Productions Inc., was also named in the lawsuit.
