We show you how to install the Nest Protect smart smoke & carbon monoxide detector in this episode. The Nest Protect gets affiliated with your Nest account,which allows it to communicate with other Nest Protect devices in your home over Wi-Fi, as well as the Nest Smart Thermostat. It lights your path when you walk under it, and uses a proximity sensor to know when you are home in order to assist the thermostat in saving money. The easiest way to getthe smart connected smoke + carbon monoxide detector from Nest ready for installation is using the iPhone or Android smartphone apps that the company provides. Using the Nest app, you set up the Nest Protect on your Wi-Fi network, test its functions prior to installation, get familiar with its features, and then move on to installation (which will be in our next video.) Play-Fi allows you to use either their speakers, speakers from third-parties with Play-Fi built-in, or their receiver which can be connected to any analog speaker, and you are done. We bring you our HTC One review, taking a look at the hardware of the device that many are calling the best to come out of HTC ever. The HTC One is an Android smartphone with the custom BlinkFeed homescreen, and the UltraPixel camera (according to HTC) that stands above the rest of the smartphone camera market. HTC Zoe features are built into the camera as well, bringing power and flexibility to the camer app on the software side. The unibody aluminum construction also stands out to make this a beautiful device, and Beats Audio keeps the sound pumping. We give you a first look at the upcoming Sony Xperia ion, the first Sony 4G LTE smartphone, in this episode. The Xperia ion features a 4.55-inch high definition touchscreen display, 12 megapixel camera, and a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, and brushed aluminum metal backing. It can shoot 1080p video with the rear camera, and 720p video using the camera up front. The phone will ship with Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and is also Playstation-certified, which means you can play Playstation games right on the phone, or on your TV with the dock.
