Apple has released the epic new iPad Pro, and in this episode I give you a first look at the large iOS device. As you'll see, the iPad Pro sports a huge (by tablet standards) 12.9-inch Retina display. On the outside, it looks just like another other current-generation iPad, just bigger. On the inside though, there's a lot more power. It's the first iOS device to ship with 4GB, and paired with Apple's A9X processor, this thing is fast. It amounts to an iOS experience that is smooth and fluid, doing everything from navigating the home screen, opening apps, multitasking, and even editing video a breeze. The massive screen immerses you into its world - I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Open up a high-resolution image, video, or game, and you are brought into that place.

Unboxing Live 173: iPhone 6S Launch and Unboxing

Apple has eliminated most of the fun from Apple Store iPhone launches! In this episode, I am waiting for the iPhone 6S to launch at the Alderwood Mall Apple Store. Typically, there are hundreds of people all camped out, waiting in line, and generally switching between having a great time and hating life depending on the temperature and the rain. This year? For the vase majority of the night it was 3 people. THREE PEOPLE! I was the third to arrive, getting there at 8:00PM the night before launch - last year by then there were 80 people in line. The next person didn't arrive until about 4:30am - 8.5 hours later. I do finally get my hands on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, and bring you an unboxing of the device as well.

In this episode I open up the brand new iPod touch (6th generation), new from Apple. The new iPod touch features the Apple A8 processor, which is the same 64-bit chip found in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, while maintaining the 4-inch Retina display. This brings the iPod touch out of the virtual stone age that it was in, making it a modern iOS device with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 (a first for any Apple device), and 1GB RAM. Apple has introduced the first desktop computer with a built-in 5K display in the iMac with Retina 5K display, and we are opening one up in this episode! The 5K Retina display is packed with 14.7 million pixels, with a resolution of 5120 x 2880. Yes, that is insane, and gives a lot of screen real estate and leeway to work on dense projects, like video editing and photo editing.

If I seemed tired in this one, it's because I arrived at 9:00pm the night before the iPhone went on sale, and this video was recorded 16(!!!) hours later when I finally had the device in-hand and ready to unbox.
