Sneak Peek: An 8-Minute Glimpse of V

Where were you when JFK was assassinated? Where were you on 9/11?

Those two questions lead us into this extended preview of , ABC’s reimagining of the classic miniseries. In this 8-minute clip from the show’s pilot, we see Americans going through the motions on what they think is just an average day. (Isn’t that exactly how FlashForward started?) Of course, that large pretty woman in the sky - who isn’t attached to a billboard - soon changes everything.

So the question now is: Do you know where you’ll be when V debuts? The new sci-fi drama will have a brief 4-week run starting November 3 then return sometime after the Olympics.

Small Budget Won’t Get in Whedon’s Way

Joss is back with a vengeance, apparently Folks over at Dollhouse are already two weeks into plotting its next season, and creator Joss Whedon could care less about the major budget cut this time around.

“I just wanted to die of tiredness. About two hours after starting to talk to the writers about story, I was back with such a vengeance, and so energized and so pumped because we really understand the show now. We understand what works, and what didn’t work so well or what we weren’t so thrilled about. We don’t have the onus of trying to be a big hit sitting on our shoulders. We can just be ourselves. And so the stories we’re breaking are pure, and exciting, and everybody’s on-board in the room, and it’s never flowed better.”

Yoohoo—do you hear that, Fox?

“Really, just every meeting is like, ‘What’s the most fun we can have with this actor?’ about the whole cast. All I can say—‘cause I’m gonna be Mr. Un-Spoiler—is that we’re having a crazy amount of fun, and usually, that tends to translate onto the screen,” he tells EW.

Preview ABC’s New Version of V

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, Video,

And you thought “reimaginings” were just something they did on the big screen…

Later next season, ABC will resurrect one of the classic sci fi tales from my youth. V, a hugely popular miniseries from 1983, will get new life in a new era and on a new network. This second attempt as a full series (NBC had its version in 1984) will once again introduce seemingly peaceful aliens to the inhabitants of Earth. But what do these “visitors” really want from our planet? And are they really reptilians in disguise?

And a note to all you fans out there: Just because you see actress Elizabeth Mitchell (Erica Evans) in these clips doesn’t mean Juliet is gone for good. In fact, Entertainment Weekly claims Sawyer’s (deceased?) love will be seen again next year.

V is scheduled to premiere sometime midseason…just like Lost.

LOST News

Posted by David Torres Categories: Prime Time, ABC, Lost,

JulietI just saw on Newsarama the teaser trailer for a new version of the old classic sci-fi show V.  I clicked on the link to check it out and to my surprise, guess who will be staring in the new show?  None other than Elizabeth Mitchell aka Juliet Burke from “LOST”.  So what does that mean?  Does Ms Mitchell do double duty or does it mean what I think it means and that the character of Juliet is indeed dead.  That sucks if it turns out to be true.

I love the Juliet character.  I really wanted to see her character happy with Sawyer and now it seems she’s dead.  But what does that mean for the show?  Is she gone because time has been changed and Oceanic Flight 815 lands safely in L.A.?  Or was the flash of white light we saw at the end of the episode mean time travel and the remaining Losties have traveled back to 2007 as some people have hypothesized.

Another clue, another mystery and eight more months of guessing.
