Sunday Ratings: Originals Do Well for NBC

A fresh lineup gave NBC a win in the demos on Sunday night. Meanwhile, CBS (once again) took first place with the viewers.
8pm
- Million Dollar Password (7.5 million. 1.3/4 in 18-49) shaved off 1 million.
- A 2-hour Extreme Makeover: Home Edition* block (2.2/7) nailed down 6.5 million.
- The U.S. Olympic Trials (5.8 million, 1.7/6) scored 300,000 more than last week.
- The Simpsons* (1.9/6) roped up 3.9 million; King of the Hill* (1.7/5) saw 3.4 million tuning in.
- Everybody Hates Chris* (1.5 million, 0.6/2) improved by 520,000; Aliens in America* (1.3 million, 0.5/2) grew by 420,000.

Sunday Ratings: Wins for CBS and NBC

If things don’t change soon, Sunday evenings will start sounding like a broken record. Yesterday, CBS was #1 with the viewers while NBC was a success in the demos.
8pm
- Million Dollar Password (8.5 million, 1.7/5 in 18-49) was up 200,000.
- Sports coverage of the U.S. Olympic Trials (1.6/5) averaged 5.5 million.
- The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1.5/5) nabbed 4.1 million for FOX.
- Everybody Hates Chris* (980,000, 0.3/1) soared by 280,000; Aliens in America* (920,000, 0.3/1) picked up another 240,000.

Sunday Ratings: CBS and NBC Split Boring Night

NBC was the only network to bring all-new material the table last night. Unfortunately, all that effort only gave the Peacock network a win in the demos. (CBS was the winner with the viewers.)
8pm
- Million Dollar Password (8.3 million, 1.5/5 in 18-49) easily won its hour.
- NBC‘s coverage of the U.S. Olympic Trials (2.0/6) attracted 6.24 million gymnastics fans.
- A two-hour block of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition* (1.9/6) averaged 6.21 million.
- The Simpsons* hour (4.1 million, 1.9/6) was up 400,000.
- Everybody Hates Chris* (700,000, 0.2/1) and Aliens in America* (680,000, 0.2/1) pulled in similar numbers.
