Will Susan Boyle Guest Star on Glee?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, Gossip, Rumors,
Rumors are circulating that YouTube phenomenon Susan Boyle may make a guest appearance on Glee, FOX’s scripted musical hit. The powers-that-be on the show are trying to get Boyle signed up for Season 2’s Christmas episode. But…what role would she play?
“I have two words for you: Lunch Lady,” said show co-creator Ryan Murphy. “I think Kurt [played by Chris Colfer] would just die to give her a Christmas makeover. I don’t even know if she’s interested, but it’s been pitched.”
No worries there. Boyle - or at least, Boyle’s management - is likely to be interested. Glee has already lined up big guest stars over its successful first season, and it’s the most buzzworthy new show of the year.
Even if Susan Boyle doesn’t stop by Glee to brighten the holiday, Gleeks have nothing to fear: a Christmas album will be released in time for gift-giving season.

UPDATE: You can watch the winning dance routine after the jump.
After weeks of promotional buildup, Susan Boyle finally got her chance to seal the Britain’s Got Talent victory this weekend. Unfortunately, the overnight sensation saw her hopes dashed as Diversity, an all-male dance group, walked away with the first place prize.
For Saturday’s finale, the 48-year-old dusted off the song that brought her into the spotlight to begin with. Her second performance of “I Dream a Dream” not only nabbed a standing ovation, but a genuine smile (and supposed tear) from Simon Cowell as well.

Susan Boyle Advances to Britain’s Got Talent Final

If you were busy outside barbecuing this weekend, you might have missed that anti-climactic thud from the other side of the pond: Susan Boyle officially became a Britain’s Got Talent finalist yesterday.
After wowing people everywhere with her surprise rendition of “I Dream a Dream” (her YouTube clip has been viewed approximately 60 million times already), the 48-year-old Scot was later selected to enter the semifinals. (You can see the judges’ announcement after the jump.) This lead to Susan’s live performance Sunday evening.
In the clip above, a more polished-looking Boyle belted out a new Broadway classic: “Memory” from Cats. Even though she seemed a bit shaky in the beginning, her strong finish - and her enormous popularity - undoubtedly earned her a place in the finals. That showdown will take place on May 30.
