MONDAY 3/9)
- Dancing with the Stars (ABC, 8pm): Season premiere. “This season, a new feature in the early weeks is a dance-off between the bottom two couples facing elimination.” Steve Wozniak + moon walk = elimination-proof.
- The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8pm): “The guys’ trip to San Francisco takes a detour once they learn that actress Summer Glau (appearing as herself) is on their train.” If you don’t already know who Summer Glau is, you probably shouldn’t be watching this show.
- How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:30pm): “Ted reunites with his college girlfriend (Laura Prepon), prompting Lily and Marshall to reveal how much they loathed the snooty woman.” From what I recall, one can easily bond with Prepon over a quick smoke break.
- Castle (ABC, 10pm): Series premiere. “Well-known mystery writer Richard Castle is questioned by a fiery detective about a serial killer reenacting murders from his books.” Kinda sounds like Basic Instinct, sans a naked Michael Douglas. Or Sharon Stone. Or Jeanne Tripplehorn.

Last night’s premiere of Reaper never really stood a chance. Although it was originally scheduled for a 9:00 debut, CW pitted the show against both American Idol and The Biggest Loser. (Had NCIS been new, the bleeding could have been worse.)
8pm
- Approximately 24.2 million watched the final group perform on American Idol (8.9/23 in 18-49).
- NCIS* (2.6/7) dialed up 13.7 million.
- The Biggest Loser: Couples (3.5/9) averaged 9 million over two hours.
- Homeland Security USA (1.6/4) detained 5.7 million.
- Reaper (2.4 million, 0.9/2) lost 330,000 from its last season finale.

MONDAY 3/2)
- The Bachelor (ABC, 8pm): “It’s down to Melissa and Molly as Jason bestows the final rose.” But first, two more quick trips to the hot tub.
- Rules of Engagement (CBS, 9:30pm): Season premiere. “Audrey learns Russell is a closet Broadway musical fan, and uses the knowledge to blackmail him for theater tickets.” Tip: Blackmail is best used when Broadway shows aren’t closing.
- CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm): “A murder occurs onboard a yacht belonging to high-powered attorney Derek Powell (Sean Combs).” Blood at Diddy’s “White Party”? That’s gonna stain.
- Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (NBC, 12:30am): “Jimmy Fallon’s inaugural show features Robert De Niro and Justin Timberlake.” Carson Daly has been working for years to get both these guys.

CW Announces Changes for Reaper, 90210, Privileged

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, The CW,
Did American Idol‘s return have you choosing between Hollywood and Beverly Hills? If so, CW might have just thrown you a bone.
Come March 3rd, Tuesdays will look slightly different. On that night, Reaper - originally scheduled to debut on St. Patrick’s Day - will have its midseason premiere. Its early return will mean Privileged‘s season finale will come sooner that later. (The freshman series will end its first run on February 24.)
But Reaper won’t just be sliding into Privileged‘s old 9:00 time slot. That position will now belong to 90210. It’s hoped the teen drama’s new home will allow it to be free of Idol‘s shadow.
If you’re having trouble keeping up with all the programming changes, make sure to check out TV Envy’s Midseason Schedule here.
