Monday Ratings: My Own Worst Enemy Sinks Further

Could Enemy be this year’s Bionic Woman? After a disappointing debut week, NBC’s flashy new series hit another low last night. The Peacock network’s failure meant another split night for ABC and CBS.

Stylista

MONDAY (10/20)
  • Prison Break (FOX, 9pm):  “Roland seethes at the treatment he has gotten from the gang since he lost the transcribing device in Las Vegas.” Thanks to his fine work, this show has just been dragged out longer than it needed to be.
  • Gossip Girl (CW, 9pm):  “Vanessa blackmails Blair, so Blair retaliates by asking Chuck to seduce Vanessa.” Sounds like somebody’s got some cruel intentions...
  • 17 Kids and Counting (TLC, 10pm):  “A look at how the thrifty Duggars save money on their clothing, food and heating bills.” Thankfully, I don’t plan on shopping for a family of 17, so there’s a lot more for me.
  • CSI: Miami (CBS, 10pm):  “A murder occurs in a trendy fashion boutique and during the investigation Horatio realizes that Julia is becoming increasingly unstable and volatile.” Had he taken his glasses off, he could have seen this coming sooner.

Monday Ratings: Heroes Continues Sinking

Things aren’t looking good over at NBC. Heroes and Chuck both premiered with declines—and have now continued their seasons with declines. This lack of competition helped ABC with the viewers and CBS with another win in the demos.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta

(You can view TV Envy’s Fall Television Programming Schedule here.)

MONDAY (10/6)
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9pm):  “Alan tries dating two women at the same time.” I remember when Ducky was pining over just Molly Ringwald. He’s all growns up now.
  • Prison Break (FOX, 9pm):  “Sara learns something disturbing about Michael.” She realizes that if it weren’t for his steely gaze and tattoos, Michael would just be your average white guy.
  • I Want to Work for Diddy (VH1, 9pm):  Series finale. “The final contestants train with Marcus Buckingham and are interviewed by Diddy.” If they mistakenly admit their loyalty for McCain, Diddy will retreat back under the covers.
  • Exiled (MTV, 10:30pm):  “A hip hop star’s daughter is sent to the island nation Vanuatu to live in a bug-filled jungle in the shadow of an active volcano.” Had she wasted her youth watching Survivor: Vanuatu, she would have been prepared.

Monday Ratings: CW Starts Week on High Note

Last night, the CW had its best Monday ever thanks to a strong Gossip Girl/One Tree Hill block. Both programs showed growth yesterday despite being in their third weeks. In the end, CBS finally managed to snag the viewers from NBC while tying FOX in the demos.

MONDAY (9/15)
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 8pm): “John’s schoolwork suffers, but his social circle widens when he makes a new friend.” Uhh, what exactly does he need to learn? He already knows that he’s in charge of saving the world.
  • Prison Break (FOX, 9pm):  “Michael and Linc happen upon T-Bag by chance.” Seriously, by chance? That’s like saying I just stopped watching this show…by chance.
  • I Want to Work for Diddy (VH1, 9pm):  “The teams must each throw a party that meets the high standards of a Diddy event, attending to such details as theme, decor, signature cocktails and guest list.” How would they know how to throw a Diddy event if they’ve never been invited to a Diddy event?
  • Luke’s Parental Advisory (VH1, 10:30pm):  “Luke tells Lacresha and Luther Jr. that they have a 2-year-old half brother. Later, he tries to bond with the child during a weekend visit.” What would we do without television cameras to record special family moments like these?

Monday Ratings: Repeat Wins for FOX and NBC

Despite receiving its lowest demo rating thus far, the return of Terminator did well enough to help FOX win the 18-49 category. Meanwhile, NBC was once again the Monday night champ with the viewers.

MONDAY (9/8)
  • The Oprah Winfrey Show (Syndicated, check local listings:  Season 23 premiere. Oprah kicks off her new year with over 150 Olympians. Medals, schmedals. I’m sure they’re all hoping for free cars.
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 8pm):  Season 2 premiere. “Agent Ellison handles the aftermath of Cromartie’s massacre.” Now if a pool full of dead bodies doesn’t spell things out for Ellison, nothing will.
  • Take Home Nanny (TLC, 8pm):  “Parents of aggressive twins need help from Emma to get the kids to behave well for a dinner with a teacher at the new school they want the boys to attend next year.” After they’re accepted, the twins then become the teacher’s problem.
  • Prison Break (FOX, 9pm):  “Michael and his crew have one day to find the other five cardholders or they’ll go back to prison.” Yeah, yeah, yeah - been there, done that.

Monday Ratings: Gossip Girl Has People Talking

Fans tired of summer repeats eagerly welcomed Monday night’s premieres. CW had an impressive comeback while FOX was last night’s winner in the demos. This left NBC and its million dollar suitcases as the victor with the viewers.
