This Week on TV (2/16-2/22)

The Real Housewives of NYC

(You can view TV Envy’s Midseason Programming Schedule here.)

MONDAY 2/16)
  • Chuck (NBC, 8pm):  “Chuck and Sarah go undercover as a happily married couple in surburbia.” A happy couple in surburbia? Isn’t the whole point to be inconspicuous?
  • Jon & Kate Plus 8 (TLC, 9pm):  “The Gosselins settle into their new home after the big move, but there’s still lots of work to be done.” And Kate will make sure Jon knows it.
  • Kyle XY (ABC Family, 9pm):  “Kyle reluctantly starts working at Latnok to repay his debt, and it’s not at all what he expects. Yet he still wants to quit, until he considers the Tragers’ current financial situation.” Back up a second—someone’s hiring?
  • True Beauty (ABC, 10pm):  “Contestants walk the red carpet with their parents, but there are also several secret tests of manners going on.” In other words, pushing mom out of your spotlight would be inadvisable.

This Week on TV (12/1-12/7)

Barbara Walters and Tom Cruise

(You can view TV Envy’s Master Programming Schedule here.)

MONDAY 12/1)
  • Shrek the Halls (ABC, 8pm): Hopefully this Mike Myers laugher will help us all forget The Love Guru.
  • Inside the Actor’s Studio (Bravo, 8pm):  “Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter film franchise, charts his career journey.” I’m not sure I want to see James Lipton enthusiastically talking about Radcliffe’s nude Broadway performance.
  • Heroes (NBC, 9pm):  “Ando, Sam and Frack try to restore Hiro’s memory with a comic book.” Any person trying to follow this series should be given an instruction manual.
  • Boston Legal (ABC, 10pm):  “When Denny receives bad news about the state of his Alzheimer’s, Alan goes before the Massachusetts Supreme Court to plead for access to an experimental drug that can help his condition.” Alzheimers? Maybe Shatner simply forgot why George Takei dislikes him so.

Angela Bassett Reports for ER Duty

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, NBC, ER, News,

Angela BassettOver the past 14 seasons, the halls of have seen a multitude of guest stars.  John Leguizamo, Stanley Tucci, Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker and Hal Holbrook represent just a small sampling of those who have either been on a gurney or had a stethoscope around their neck.

For the show’s 15th - and final - year, NBC will be bringing on another Academy Award nominee to help triage the endless patients.  Waiting to Exhale‘s will help the veteran series finally come to a close.  While this won’t be her first stint on television (she did have several appearances on my beloved ), this will be her first full-time gig on the small screen.

When ER returns next fall, we can also expect a visit from one of the drama’s former staples:  Noah Wyle.  The actor, who hasn’t done much aside from USA’s The Librarian movies, is scheduled to stop by for at least four episodes.
