TV Talk: Spike Orders Tiger Woods-Esque Show, Octomom Heads to The View

Nadya Suleman-Spike TV has ordered a pilot about a golfer (John Schneider) and his sex-crazed caddy…named Tiger. It’s not known who’ll play John’s buddy in Back Nine.

-Tina Fey’s admits her Saturday Night Live hosting gig this April will likely include a Sarah Palin sketch. At least there’ll be one funny part that night.

-Nadya Suleman will be leaving her babies behind to co-host The View next Wednesday. The noise may send the Octomom running back home.

-Meanwhile, Barbara Walters has decided that her upcoming Oscars special will be her last. Having to keep ten Best Film names straight is more than she can handle.

-Stewart Bailey, a former co-executive producer on the Daily Show, is now in charge of helping Last Call with Carson Daly. It’s a shame to see talent like that wasted.

Octuplets’ Grandfather Sits Down with Oprah

Ed Doud on Oprah

We’ve heard from both Nadya Suleman and Angela Suleman. Now it’s time for the octuplets’ grandfather to speak.

In an interview to air next Tuesday, Ed Suleman admits to Oprah that he - like many others - has doubts about his daughter’s sanity. “Now I’m no psychiatrist, but I question her mental situation,” Suleman stated. And though he considers Nadya’s actions to be “absolutely irresponsible,” the 67-year-old is seeking ways to raise funds for all 14 children. Suleman currently lives in the same home as his ex-wife, Angela, and contributes to the family by working as a contractor in Iraq.

UPDATE: You can watch the first portion of that interview now.

NBC may have recently lost a highly-coveted interview to CBS, but the network is now making up for it in a big way. This Friday, the Today show will begin airing clips from the first sit-down interview with Nadya Suleman.

While you might not be familiar with Suleman’s name, you’re probably quite familiar with her “accomplishments.” The California woman - already a mother of six - recently gave birth to octuplets. The 33-year-old’s interview with happened shortly after she left the hospital Thursday morning. (The newborns, still hospitalized, are currently in good condition.) Although it was rumored that Nadya would be selling her story for a big price, NBC says she was not paid for the exclusive.
