Has the tide gone down for CBS at 10:00? For the first time since its debut, Hawaii Five-0 was bested by Castle in the hour. ABC’s victory in that time slot helped the network take another double win (viewers and demos) on Monday.

- House (9.5 million, 3.6/10) lost 1 million.

FOX’s decision to quickly replace Lone Star with veteran Lie to Me was validated in the ratings last night. Unfortunately, the move really didn’t make a difference in the overall rankings. ABC was still the winner in both the viewers and demos thanks to reality hit Dancing with the Stars.

- House (10.5 million, 3.9/11) added on 300,000.
- How I Met Your Mother (8.6 million, 3.4/10) lost 500,000; Rules of Engagement (8.5 million, 3.0/8) grew by 300,000.

The first official night of the fall television season saw five new shows vying for our attention. - House (10.7 million, 4.2/11) was down nearly 6 million from last fall.
- How I Met Your Mother (3.6/10) kicked things off with 8.8 million; Rules of Engagement (3.1/8) attracted 8.4 million.
- Chuck’s premiere drew 5.8 million (2.0/6).

Monday Ratings: Another Painful Outing for Heroes
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Heroes, Ratings,
If NBC doesn’t cancel Heroes after the end of this season, it would be the worst decision that network has made since….well, you know. Although some have claimed the show will return next year, the phrase “hit a series low” is constantly used when referencing the program. (Last night was no exception.) Yesterday’s episode even drew less viewers than The Jay Leno Show.
8pm
- A two-hour episode of 24 (3.4/8 in 18-49) averaged 11 million.
- The Bachelor (10.6 million, 3.8/9) did about the same as last week.
- How I Met Your Mother (10.5 million, 4.0/10) picked up 700,000.
- Accidentally on Purpose (9.6 million, 3.5/9) grew by 1.1 million.
- Chuck (6.7 million, 2.5/6) was down by 600,000.
- One Tree Hill (1.1/3) raised 2.2 million.
