Eva Longoria Calls Teri Hatcher a Loner

Eva Longoria and Teri HatcherEva Longoria says Teri Hatcher is a "loner."

The 37-year-old beauty has dismissed claims of a feud with her former Desperate Housewives co-star, but admits the actress would purposely distance herself from socializing with the rest of the cast.

"You know, Teri was just a loner. I don't know. Me and Marcia [Cross] and Felicity [Huffman] were a lot closer because we are just girlie girls who like to be in each other's company. Teri didn't. There was no bad blood, I think that was just the way it was," she said.

Eva's former co-star Nicollette Sheridan recently sued the program's creators for unfair dismissal and despite the claims she made against the show, the brunette star insists the legal battle hasn't affected her relationship with the actress. "We were pretty removed from the court case. But Nicollette is great, she is a great girl. She's funny, she's really a broad. She's just a fun girl to hang out with," she said.

It was recently revealed that Teri's name was noticeably left off the notes attached to the farewell presents Eva, Marcia , Felicity and Vanessa Williams gave to the crew when 'Desperate Housewives' came to an end.

TV Talk: Veronica Mars May Get Movie, Slash Supports Coco on Leno

Description-Eva Longoria says she’s “really confused” about the lawsuit Nicollette Sheridan filed against Marc Cherry. She doesn’t think the Desperate Housewives creator could even “harm a fly.”

-Veronica Mars fans should not give up hope on a possible big screen movie. “It’s not dead,” creator Rob Thomas claims. “We’re still looking into it.”

-The censors working for Jay Leno should keep a close eye on their guests before they walk out on stage. Last night, guitarist Slash secretly sported a Team Coco button during his Tonight Show appearance.

-Christopher Meloni is now backing off reports that he may leave Law & Order: SVU. Can we say contract negotiations?

New Sprint Commercials Play Out Like a Miniseries

Desperate Housewives

“They’re kind of like the old Taster’s Choice commercials,” explained Marc Cherry, creator of ABC’s . “We added a lot of wicked dark humor, murder and adultery and betrayal.”

The commercials are Sprint spots which were shot on the Housewives set and written by the show’s writers. Rebecca Staab and David Chisum will be part of a “murderous love triangle” in the spots, the first of which will premiere September 27.

Desperate Housewives Star Critically Injured

Gale HaroldUPDATE: Harold’s condition is now improving.

A motorcycle crash earlier this week has left a star in critical condition.

Gale Harold, who currently plays ‘s younger boyfriend, was hospitalized yesterday after a wreck on his motorcycle. The former Queer as Folk star - the only person hurt in the incident -  was due to be on the ABC set Tuesday.

Despite earlier reports of a shoulder injury, multiple sources claim Harold is being treated for a head injury as well. Fortunately, the 38-year-old is supposedly expected to recover despite swelling on the brain.

While it’s unclear how long Gale will remain in USC Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit, his absence should not affect production on the show. Although Jackson Braddock was involved in a pivotal November sweeps storyline, producer seems confident that adjustments could be made.

Desperate Housewives Gets Extended Stay at Wisteria Lane

Desperate Housewives Extra, Extra! Read all about it! Marc Cherry, creator of Desperate Housewives, just signed on for four more years of the series. The eight-figure deal puts Desperate Housewives on the tube through May 2011. For those of you keeping track, that’s seven seasons total. Oy. I don’t know if I can carry on that long. I mean, DH and I have had our ups and downs (down being the total of the second season), but I have hung in there through thick and thin. Hanging on through 2011 though? I don’t know if I have it in me, unless there are promises of exceptional storylines for years to come. At least the series has locked in Marc Cherry as the creative dude to carry out the next four years. The key cast members have also negotiated deals to stay on through 2011 too, although the details of that is a bit more hush-hush it seems. “The studio and the network and I all feel it’s best for me to stay glued to the set,” Cherry told Variety. “I’ve got my ship, and I’m gonna run it.” If you’re like me, fearing the continuation of the show beyond Cherry’s agreement, he has no plans to pass the torch, saying, “I think that, at the end of my deal, and after seven seasons, it will be a good time to call it quits. I don’t want anyone else to run the show, and I don’t want us to fade away.”
