Yes, yes - you heard me right: NBC showed signs of life yesterday. But let’s not get too excited now. It’s not like the network won anything. (The Peacock was still in fourth place.) It just didn’t suck as badly as it has been.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (19.1 million, 4.4/12 in 1849) stumbled by 500,000.
- House (11.8 million, 4.5/12) was down 1.2 million.
- The Big Bang Theory (10.1 million, 3.8/11) added on 1.2 million; How I Met Your Mother (9.6 million, 4.0/11) picked up 1.1 million.
- Chuck (6.2 million, 2.3/6) was up 200,000.
- Gossip Girl* (0.4/1) sat quietly in back with 990,000.

Okay - so Fringe might have had a little help from Adam Lambert. But FOX would have won anyway right? Despite its long absence, the freshman series returned last night to stronger numbers than when it left.

- NCIS (17.6 million, 3.6/10) grew by 800,000.
- The Biggest Loser: Couples (8 million, 3.1/8) lost 800,000.
- It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (1.3/3) rounded up 4.6 million.

Could Jewel’s replacement soon find herself sitting on the sidelines?
Although she was relieved to see Denise Richards go home last Tuesday, Holly Madison might have been spared some pain had she been eliminated instead. Yesterday, Holly became the latest Dancing with the Stars contestant to chalk up some medical bills.

Man Charged with Stalking DWTS’ Shawn Johnson
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, News,
A 34-year-old Florida man has been charged with stalking a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.
Earlier this week, Robert O’Ryan was caught jumping over a fence at the CBS studio lot in LA. After he was confronted by security, O’Ryan first said he was there to visit 17-year-old Shawn Johnson. Since the gymnast denied knowing the man, he then claimed he was there to see Steve-O.
When asked if he was was carrying any weapons, the suspect - who had an expired concealed weapons permit on him - admitted having two guns in his car. A follow-up investigation by the LAPD determined that O’Ryan possessed “a loaded .45 handgun, a loaded shotgun, and materials classically used for kidnapping including duct tape, zip ties, and a map to the victim. Also found were love letters, clippings and other information on [Shawn Johnson].”
The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office charged Robert on Thursday with one count of felony stalking and two misdemeanor counts of carrying a loaded gun in a vehicle. Although he is currently being held on $35,000 bail, prosecutors are expected to ask that the amount be raised to $220,000.

If you thought a repeat of Two and a Half Men might help Heroes’ chances, you were wrong. Last night, the wilting NBC program once again saw its smallest audience to date. That poor performance led into a series low for Medium as well.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (20.2 million, 4.9/13 in 18-49) stumbled by 900,000.
- House* (7.7 million, 2.6/7) sent 5.1 million home.
- A How I Met Your Mother original (7.4 million, 2.9/8) didn’t do as well as The Big Bang Theory; a HIMYM repeat (2.6/7) turned in 6.9 million.
- Chuck (2.1/6) registered 6.1 million.
- Gossip Girl (2.2 million, 1.0/3) remained steady.

DWTS’ Holly Madison Calls Rycroft’s Background “Unfair”
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Gossip,
Is she just a jealous, uncoordinated dancer…or does Holly Madison have a point? (Or both?)
From the minute she took over for Nancy O’Dell, it was clear Melissa Rycroft would go far on Dancing with the Stars. And though many were glad to see Jason Mesnick’s dumpee given a chance to rise above the ashes, did she bring too much momentum - and experience - to the competition?
While speaking to Us Weekly last weekend, Madison said her biggest threat was Rycroft. “She is an amazing dancer and everybody loves her, including me.”
But when asked how she really felt about her rival’s ballet and cheerleading background, the former Playboy bunny admitted that she thought it was “unfair.” She added, “I wish I had that advantage.”
Well, as Simon Cowell might say, it probably wouldn’t make a difference if Melissa was there or not. If you don’t bring coordination to the table, you’re not going to win anyway.

DWTS’ Steve Wozniak Injured Again
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars,
Steve Wozniak’s problems have just moved up his leg.
According to E! Online, the Apple co-founder is now dealing with more than just a foot fracture. Earlier this weekend, Wozniak pulled a hamstring during rehearsals.
Although host Tom Bergeron says Steve is “determined to be there on Monday and dance,” one source claims the injured celebrity has been “limping pretty badly.”
So what would this mean for Karina Smirnoff should her partner be permanently sidelined? “The only thing it will impact is if there is one week we were going to have a double elimination and we wouldn’t do that. But we’d still eliminate someone. So if [he] can’t dance this week, we’re still going to knock somebody else out anyway because that’s the way we roll,” Bergeron explained.
