Matthew BroderickMatthew Broderick will guest star on Modern Family.

The Tony Award-winning actor will join the comedy show as a "neurotic new friend" of regular character Phil Dunphy (played by Ty Burrell), ABC has confirmed. No other details of his character have been released.

Matthew's wife Sarah Jessica Parker will also appear on the small screen when she stars in the latest series of Glee. The former Sex and the City actress will be a "frazzled and eccentric" editor of an acclaimed fashion magazine's website when she makes her guest appearance in the musical drama and show bosses think she is "hilarious."

"Sarah Jessica Parker is gonna be running Vogue.com. That's sort of where we encounter this character, who's sort of frazzled, eccentric, hilarious. It's gonna be good," said the show's co-creator and executive producer Ian Brennan.

Glee Plans Britney Spears Episode

Britney SpearsGlee is making another Britney Spears-themed episode.

The hits of the new X Factor judge - who made a cameo appearance on the show in 2010, drawing a record number of viewers for the musical drama - will be used in the second episode of the fourth series of the program later this year, but the singer herself will not be in any scenes. Unlike Britney's first Glee tribute, the new episode will not
focus on her namesake in the show, EW.com reports.

Eight Britney tracks will be used in the episode, which will air in its new Thursday night slot - immediately after The X Factor results show.

Meanwhile, Glee actor Chris Colfer has revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker's recently-announced cameo on the show will see her play a mentor to his character Kurt Hummell: "I just found out last night that Sarah Jessica Parker is coming on our show to be my mentor of sorts."

Kate Hudson will make a six-episode appearance in a role that is described as very "dance heavy" and believed to be a mentor to Rachel Berry, the character played by Lea Michele.

Chris Colfer of GleeChris Colfer found out he was leaving Glee through Twitter!

The actor - who plays Kurt Hummel in the TV musical comedy - claims he only learned he and co-stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith wouldn't be returning after the third series on the social networking site.

"I found out yesterday on Twitter. Yeah, I found out that they made that announcement. I didn't necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year, I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can't be there forever. I don't necessarily want to leave so soon, but I mean, it's fine."

Although he will be sad to go, Chris will look back on the show with great pride: "It's what it is. And all things come to an end. As a performer, I feel so fulfilled. I have two Emmy nominations and just from hearing from people out in the world about how much the character has helped people. If it's time for a conclusion, I'm fulfilled with it, and I'm fine with it."

Glee - Prom Queen

Glee’s “Prom Queen” episode opened with an interview between Puck (Mark Salling) and Jacob Ben Israel (Josh Sussman). Puck was still campaigning hard for a Prom King win with queen Lauren Zizes (Ashley Fink) at his side… but as it happened, he and the rest of New Directions would be working the event.

Over Sue Sylvester’s protests, the glee club was selected to entertain the McKinley High prom crowd when Principal Figgins (Iqbal Thera) couldn’t secure his favorite band -- Air Supply -- for the event. Though Sue (Jane Lynch) was prom coordinator, the club scored the gig… mainly because there was no other act available. Thankfully, Sue keeps a list of the club’s worst number in her Spanx “at all times.” At the top of the list was “Run, Joey, Run.”

Behind the Glee: Chris Colfer Talks Original Songs

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Music, Prime Time, FOX, Gossip, Video,

In this fantastic video clip, Glee’s Chris Colfer talks about his long-awaited on-screen kiss with Darren Criss and singing original songs. Because his character, Kurt, is no longer a part of New Directions, Colfer did not get to sing an original song in the “Original Song” episode (bummer). But, he did compose a catchy little tune on the spot (“I miss Mercedes… and all my single ladies”).

He also spent some time joking around with castmate Darren Criss about their passionate kiss, complaining that Criss never called him afterward. “I don’t kiss and tell, unless it’s on camera,” he explained. Watch the entire video to get a look at what Glee is like behind-the-scenes.
