Nick Lachey and Vanessa MinnilloNick Lachey's wedding to Vanessa Minnillo will be televised.

The 37-year-old star - who has previously featured in a TV series about his life following his first marriage to singer Jessica Simpson - will appear with his new wife in Nick and Vanessa's Dream Wedding on TLC a few weeks after the nuptials.

"We're lucky to have such passionate and loving fans, and we thought partnering with TLC on this special would be the best way to share the exciting journey we're on with all the people that support us and our relationship," the pair said in a statement.

In addition to the marriage itself, the show will also feature footage including Vanessa's search for her dream dress and their joint wedding shower. Nick has previously revealed he is keen to start a family soon after getting married so he can catch up with his brother Drew, who has two children.

"I'd like to be a dad sooner than later. I'm getting up there. I've gotta catch up with my brother. [Drew's] got two and I've got zero, so the pressure is on me!" I'm at a point in my life where I'm ready to start another chapter. Having kids is a big part of that. I'm excited for what comes next. Life is a journey, and I'm certainly ready to close this chapter and move on to the next."

Drew Lachey Nabs Hosting Job

Drew LacheyFollowing in fellow Dancing with the Stars contestant (and former boyband member, come to think of it), Joey Fatone, Nick

landed himself a purty little TV hosting gig as well. And not just any hosting job—a little spin-off from Dancing with the Stars, called Dance War. Hey, if the stars version of a dancing competition worked, why not one with non-celebs, brought to you by the people that made Dancing with the Stars (DwtS)? The show will appear midseason and fill the dance void left between cycles of DwtS, so your dance card will never be empty, so to speak. Lachey—who won the second season of Dancing—hosts, while judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli are on hand to get dance teams together and primed not just for a dance-off, but also a sing-off (if that’s a word?). You can expect this little dancing gem to come sometime in early 2008. Stay tuned…

Vanessa Minnillo Bails from TRL

Vanessa MinnilloAfter four years on MTV’s Total Request Live, Vanessa Minnillo is calling it quits. Is it TRL‘s change in format to a semi-live program, or her recent shacking up with Nick Lachey to blame? Well, maybe some of both… or maybe neither. Minnillo said of her departure, “I had my four years there like high school or college. I’m ready for the next chapter – what it is, I have no idea. [But] I don’t want to be 48 saying, ‘Hey kids, now it’s Sean Preston Spears’s video.’ ” Good girl, getting out before she’s old and gray. She does have a career in the wings—a makeup line for Flirt! Cosmetics, which will be available in August. “We have two looks going on,” Minnillo said. “You can have that fun rock-and-roll look or an everyday look.” OK, sure. She’ll also show up in the next Fantastic Four. I’m sure she’ll have no trouble finding work. There’s always a new reality show looking for a host.

Newlyweds Reach Divorce Settlement

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Music, Reality, Cable/Satellite, News,

Newlyweds Nick and Jessica Newlyweds Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson have reached an agreement about their divorce settlement—surprisingly enough, Nick will be walking away with less than expected. Perhaps to put things behind him quickly, Lachey agreed to take much less than the 50 percent he’s entitled to. Since Simpson didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement, California law entitles him to half of the assets. At half, Lachey would get $18 million, but he has decided to settle for less, bypassing the need to go to court.

Neither Simpson nor Lachey have withered from the spotlight since the split. Lachey’s recent wins at the Teen Choice awards and romance with MTVs Vanessa Minnillo, as well as the popularity of his heartbreaking song “What’s Left of Me,” have kept him front and center. Similarly, Simpson continues to get attention with her new album “A Public Affair,” her bout with laryngitis, and links to both funny man Dane Cook and musician John Mayer (she’s not dating either of them).
