My Name is Earl Season 3 DVD

Video of Paris Hilton on Earl

Question:  Does repeating the same two words over and over again qualify as a cameo?

I never thought I would hear myself say this, but Paris Hilton’s appearance on My Name is Earl last night made Britney Spears look like an Emmy-worthy actress.

Apparently it’s not possible - even for comatose patients - to envision a better acting performance from Paris.  (BTW - I’m referring to the speaking kind.)

My Name is Earl Welcomes….Paris Hilton

paris hiltonI never thought I’d see the day when a perfectly good comedy wastes its time on celebutante trash.  Unfortunately, this news is real: Paris Hilton will guest star on an episode of .

Granted, there was a time when Tara Reid was seen roaming the halls of —but I actually believe that was during her less skanky period.

The show’s creator confirmed that Hilton will be featured in one of Earl’s dream sequences.  (Let’s hope it’s a dream of Joy and Catalina pulling her extensions out.)

The cameo will happen during the show’s official return:  April 3.

NBC ‘Green Week’: An Opinion

NBC's 'Green Week' sucks a big oneOk, I’m all for saving the world, cleaning up the air and preventing whatever horrible fate Al Gore has decided awaits us in the coming decades - but this NBC “Green Week” is absolutely awful. In a week that has seen this huge writer strike, it would seem to me that network television needs every spark it can possibly get. What did NBC deliver instead? The guy from Windtalkers (now on Law & Order: SVU) telling me to recycle a pizza box … before he almost gets blown up by the bomb inside.

Oh, but the tree-hugging horror doesn’t stop there. Follow me after the jump to take a look at some of the other cringe-inducing moments from “Green Week.”

Gordon Ramsay Roasts His Nuts

Gordon Ramsay I’m not a crass person by any means. A dirty joke makes me blush and look the other way…but this news about burning his, well… “privates” seemed like an interesting news topic to cover. Ramsay is of course the rude dude in charge of —his mean demeanor no doubt adding to the entertainment factor of this reality cooking show. According to Ramsay, “The other day I was standing too close to the [stove] when I was cooking. I was wearing these cotton trousers and underneath I was going commando.” (OK, that enough is too much information). “Suddenly, I felt this searing heat. I went, ‘F**k me, bol***ks to that,’ and for once I was spot on. My balls were burning.” Now, that’s no laughing matter, to be sure. Just last night I burned my fingers removing the lid off the steamer—and it hurt like crazy. The thing about Ramsay’s story is that I immediately thought about the repeat of My Name is Earl that was on last week… the one with Norm MacDonald called “Two Balls, Two Strikes,” where Randy and Earl describe MacDonald’s character’s (Little Chubby) injury using colors like “blorange.” Anyway, the parallel between Ramsay’s injury and My Name is Earl got me thinking about karma and wondering if Chef Ramsay was just getting a little payback for all of the contestants he’s ripped on. Just my deep thought for the day.

Jaime Pressly Has a Boy

Jaime PresslyAwww, Jaime Pressly gave birth this morning to a baby boy. Great news for her and fiancee, deejay Eric Cubiche. Bad news for fans hoping to chat with her last night during the live blog after My Name is Earl. She was scheduled to sit in and answer questions, but I guess other things were more pressing. Eww. That sounded kind of gross. Anyway, they named the baby Dezi James, in part for her fiancee’s Desi Arnaz impression; James is her father’s name. Pressly’s pregnancy was incorporated into the storyline of Earl this season and the season finale aired last night. She was nominated for an Emmy for her role as Joy, currently married to “crabman” Darnell (Eddie Steeples) and the ex-wife of title character Earl (Jason Lee). She can be seen in the upcoming film D.O.A., coming to theaters on June 22nd.
