  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8pm):  “Still hurting from the way Barney ended their romance, Robin gets back at him by getting a beautiful self-help author, played by Jennifer Lopez, to turn the tables on Barney.” He was lead to believe her love wouldn’t cost a thing.
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9pm):  “Charlie and Chelsea have one-night stands after breaking up.” Unlike hers, Charlie’s was spent behind bars.
  • Fashion Police (E!, 10pm):  “Comments on fashions worn at the 2010 Academy Awards ceremony in Hollywood.” Those who aren’t invited, judge…or have a show on E!.

Sunday Ratings: Undercover Boss Jumps Over the Competition

CBS chose wisely when they picked their post-Super Bowl time slot winner. Outside of the sports competition on NBC, the action during the 9:00 time slot was clearly on CBS. New reality series Undercover Boss had the best viewers and demos of the night.

  • Life Unexpected (CW, 9pm):  “Lux does her best to get Jones to drop the charges against Bug.” Yes, he may be creepy and ugly—but calling him dirty is simply unfair.
  • Damages (FX, 10pm):  “A Hewes & Shayes job candidate has questions for Ellen about Patty.” Question #1: What are the signs you’ll either be fired…or killed?
  • Men of a Certain Age (TNT, 10pm):  Season finale. “Owen sees a glimmer of hope when he lands work at a rival dealership.” Season 2 will see Owen crawling back when his Toyota job abruptly ends.

  • 24 (FOX, 9pm):  “Jack’s undercover mission worries his colleagues.” They never thought he’d go so far as to wear a dress.
  • Keeping Up with Kardashians (E!, 10pm):  “Kourtney breaks up with Scott after he gets drunk on Kim’s birthday in Las Vegas.” She always knew he was a douche, but she didn’t realize he was such a lush.
  • Celebrity Close Calls (Biography, 10pm):  “Celebrities recall incidents in which they nearly died. Included: Jane Seymour, Erik Estrada, Leif Garrett and Coolio.” The death of their careers will be covered in Part 2.

Both Heidi Klum and Paulina Porizkova have just been tapped to appear as themselves in an episode next month. The scene - which will be set in New York - will also involve Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria Parker) and Angie Bolen (Drea de Matteo).

Sunday Ratings: Globes Golden for NBC

Sunday evening had a little bit of something for everyone: sports, glamour, action and drama. Unfortunately, this meant mixed results for some network staples. And though the Golden Globes brought NBC its best 18-49 performance for a non-sports event since ER‘s finale, CBS won both the viewers and the demos with its playoff action.

Now that we’ve made halfway through the television season, it’s time to readjust our DVRs once again.

Midseason staples returning to the airwaves include , 24 and Lost. Meanwhile, a number of new programs - including Human Target, and The Marriage Ref - will vie for our attention.

Hopefully our detailed guide can assist you in the weeks to come.  We have compiled information from the five major networks and included the days, times and premiere dates for this season’s programs.
