The Charity Projects Entertainment Fund has partnered with American Idol and FOX to bring viewers the exciting Idol Gives Back event. With each vote received for contestants tonight, a donation will be made to the Fund to help young people living in the United States and in Africa. It will all begin at 8pm EST this evening, and so far the two-night event promises to be a mixed bag of heartstring-tugging, celebrity sightings, and Cowell’s famous judgments of doom.

Tomorrow night’s results show will pack even more entertainment than usual. Not only will another singing hopeful get sent home, but two stages will feature amazing live performances from some of the industry’s top performers. Not only will the Idol stage be packed, but the huge Disney Hall will also show a slew of live performers. Throughout the event, a toll-free number will be provided for persons who wish to donate without voting for an American Idol contestant. Even for those who don’t like American Idol, this event promises to be stunning. While many huge names have already been mentioned, there are sure to be some surprises still being kept under wraps. Everything will finally be revealed (including the top five Idols) by the end of Wednesday evening.
