WWE Smackdown Spoilers (12/7)

WWE Smackdown! spoilers We saw a lot of really bizarre things on last few episodes of WWE Friday Night Smackdown. First we saw a disgusting make-out session between “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge and Vickie Guerrero, and then we saw the return of Teddy Long, which would ultimately lead to the making of a huge triple threat match between The Undertaker, Edge and Batista at Armageddon, with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Oh yeah, and this whole ECW/Smackdown talent exchange thing continues, so we can expect to see the boys of ECW as well.

Which superstar got speared so hard that he was out cold for five minutes? Find out in this week’s spoilers after the jump.

Warning: the following contains *spoiler* results for this week’s WWE Smackdown on The CW, airing Friday night at 8 p.m. ET.

The show kicks off with a little Teddy Long - thuggin’ and buggin’. Long comes to the ring and pushes the triple threat match. He is soon interrupted by Edge who makes his way to the ring and tries to give a message to Vickie G., who is laid up at home after being tombstoned by The Undertaker. Long interrupts him and they have a few words. Long puts him in a match with Kane.

The Miz and John Morrison (WWE Tag Team Champions) take on Jesse and Festus. Morrison wins with the pin on Jesse. That seems to put an end to the little push those two were getting. Nice to see the ECW guys putting an end to a Smackdown team’s rise to the top.

Next up, Batista vs. Elijah Burke. I can’t remember the last time I saw Burke on WWE TV. He seems to disappear for long periods of time. The end comes when Burke tries coming off the top turnbuckle and Batista catches him in a spear-like spine buster which totally rocks his socks off. Burke is pretty much out cold but takes the Batista Bomb and gets pinned. Burke is slow to get up and is helped to the back by the trainers. See you in another couple weeks, man.

Jamie Noble continues to prove why he is one of the most talented and fun wrestlers to watch on Smackdown. Tonight, he gets Michelle McCool to agree to go on a date with him if he beats Chuck Palumbo for the third time - he even wears a fun shirt with the win-loss record on it! McCool costs Palumbo the match when she tries to distract Noble - instead, Noble gets the roll-up and the win. Palumbo is pissed afterwards and gives McCool the bid-ness. Heel turn?

Oh, lord. Another edition of MVP’s lame VIP interview segment. This week - unthinkably - it is Michael Hayes on the show shilling out the World Class Championship Wrestling DVD. Hayes and MVP talk a little bit about the MVP/Rey Rey match at Armageddon. Things take a turn for the worse (as they always do) and Hayes and MVP get into a shoving match which leads to punches and ultimately gets Hayes slapped with “The Playmaker.” Rey Mysterio makes the save and gives MVP a pummeling before he hightails it out of the ring.

Next there are a couple segments - a little Batista and a little Hornswoggle. Get it?

Next up - Finlay vs. Deuce (of Deuce and Domino fame). Horny helps Finlay win the match via a shillelagh to the leg. After the match The Great Khali comes to the ring. Domino blindsides Finlay giving Khali the opening he needed to put the vice-grip on the poor Irishman. Finlay is down for the count as Khali poses and Horny looks on concerned.

Batista comes down to ringside to bore everyone with some uninspired commentary during the Kane/Edge main event. Edge tries to talk to Vickie again. Gross. The ending to the main event becomes a total hodge-podge. Things get a little hardcore as the steel steps make it into the ring. Edge sets Kane up for the “Con-chair-toe” but Batista slides in the ring to make the save. Before he does, the lights go out and The Undertaker appears in the ring with a chokehold on Edge. Batista spears The Undertaker and Edge makes for the dressing room. As Batista stares down Edge, The Undertaker gets to his feet and choke slams Batista. And they all lived happily ever after.

That’s it folks! Next week, it’s the 15th anniversary episode of Monday Night RAW - Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, Trish Stratus, Eric Bishoff and more! It’ll be a three hour doozy of a RAW. And as always, I’ll be here to tell you about it … stay tuned!
