VIDEO: Sarah Palin Upset Over Family Guy Episode

Apparently didn’t realize things done at “FOX” can be upsetting to some.

During Sunday night’s episode, Chris Griffin went on a date with someone Stewie referred to as “Down syndrome girl.” While that comment alone would have been enough to get Palin’s family talking, it’s a reveal Chris’ crush made during dinner that put the controversy over the top: “My dad’s an accountant and my mom is the former governor of Alaska.”

Not pleased with the obvious connection to her special needs son, Sarah - a FOX News contributor - felt compelled to respond on both her Facebook page and on The O’Reilly Factor.

“This world is full of cruel, cold hearted people, who would do such a thing,” Palin stated. “Look, I look at Trig and I see perfection. I see a precious little child already toddling around. You can see that he has a heart of gold. I also can see into the future that Trig is going to have a pretty tough challenging life in front of him. He’s going to face things special needs children will be facing, much more difficult than we ever will. So why make it tougher on the special needs community? That’s what I thought when I first heard about this episode that really isn’t funny.”

In response to her comments, the comedy’s creator offered this statement. “From its inception, Family Guy has used biting satire as the foundation of its humor. The show is an ‘equal-opportunity offender,’” said.

So what do you think of the whole matter? Should MacFarlane apologize to the Palin family for the episode, or should Sarah stop giving him ammo?
