Movie stars. Television celebrities. Famed recording artists. It can only be the People’s Choice Awards. Did your favorite star win your pick for Best Dressed? Not everyone made the right choice for the red carpet season opener.

Alyson Hannigan is as cute as a button, but this plain black frock is a little too bell-shaped for a curvy girl. The shoes, clutch and jewels are, at least, spot on.

The black and white frock from Christian Cota worn by Carrie Underwood seems to have the fashion blues. The too-large outer layer - what is that, black mesh? - looks far too messy. Carrie’s got a good figure, but the cut of this party dress does little to flatter it.

Sandra Bullock was stunning in this gold number designed by Vivienne Westwood. But why would she pair this lovely dress with those clunky beige heels (not to mention the odd brown clutch and the brassy gold bracelet)?

Lea Michele definitely gets People’s Choice for the most surprising look of the night. Not to say she looks bad in this super-hot red job, it’s just that the sexy expression on her face is so at odds with her Glee character Rachel.

Melrose Place’s Katie Cassidy looked a complete mess in this Talbot Runhof gown - those weird colored strips hanging from the hem and right shoulder haven’t been Photoshopped. Her just-out-of-bed hairdo certainly doesn’t help the situation.
