Paris Hilton Revealed in New Documentary

Paris Hilton Near the beginning of the , which recently aired on MTV, Hilton stated, “I didn’t really plan this, it just happened.”

“This” would be her unprecedented fame and fortune—the empire she created from simply being an heiress. “I haven’t really done anything I’m ashamed of,” she added.

Clips, weird camera angles and little snippets of interviews made the documentary highly confusing, not at all cohesive. In addition to following Paris around, MTV cameras addressed Kathy and Rick Hilton, Donald Trump, and others who have helped shape the heiress’s life.

“I pretend to be on the phone all the time, so people don’t talk to me,” Hilton grinned at the cameras as she went shopping. She also revealed that she thinks of Marilyn Monroe and her “flirty and fun” attitude when posing for pictures.

Later: “I’ve created this false person, and I can’t do anything about it,” Hilton told the cameras from inside her car. She also talked about the multitude of negative press she’s received over the years. “I just wanted to forget about it. Everyone had already seen it,” Hilton said of the infamous sex tape. “I’m a stronger person because of it,” she added.

“I’ll be a little idiot and talk like a baby,” she told the cameras. “It’s funny to me, because people think I don’t know what’s going on.” But, she added, she doesn’t want people to think she’s an “airhead.”

“I think Paris the heiress is this character I made,” she explained. “I didn’t know what to do, so I did what I thought the public and the audience would want.”

In the end, it’s doubtful that viewers felt they learned anything new about Miss Hilton or discovered what she’s “really like.” Mostly, cameras just followed her from one place to the next while she made a few comments about how she’s a good person. The businesswoman, as usual, took a back seat to the beautiful girl.

It was, all in all, exactly what you’d expect from MTV.
