McCain Camp Reacts to SNL Parody

The minute we all got a look at , the bevy of available jokes was suddenly self-evident. The woman does, after all, look a great deal like comedienne Tina Fey. That Fey is an SNL alum and still pals with NBC is just the icing on the cake. The inevitable SNL season premiere followed, showing the inevitable pairing of screen buds Fey and Amy Poehler as none other than Palin and Hillary Clinton.

The millions of SNL viewers found it hysterical and the video has been posted on a multitude of entertainment sites since. ’s camp, however, didn’t find their funny bones tickled.

“The portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining as very substantive, and Sarah Palin as totally superficial,” griped Carly Fiorina (a McCain adviser) to MSNBC. Apparently, Fiorina isn’t familiar with the show. And you haven’t seen comedy until you’ve seen Will Ferrell do his George W. Bush - I think Sarah Palin got off pretty light.

“I think that continues the line of argument that is disrespectful in the extreme, and yes, I would say sexist,” Fiorina continued.

“Disrespectful in the extreme.” She really hasn’t watched the show before - it’s what SNL is known for. And sexist? They offend everyone equally, in my estimation.

According to a Palin spokesperson, the Alaska governor “thought it was quite funny, particularly because she once dressed up as for Halloween.” And…people noticed that she’d donned a costume, did they? At any rate, I think Fey has a few more appearances as Palin ready for the American public. I hope she does a lengthy skit right after the Vice Presidential debates. Until then, let’s just watch the SNL video:

Deniro had a hard time keeping a straight face for a few of them...comedy gold & instant classic.

I saw that when it aired the first time around, and the second time they aired it my dad called me and told me to turn it on... haha it was hilarious! I just watched it again with my roommates. I wonder how they got away with it with the censors. Some of those are pretty bad... "Iwan Fuqya"...
