Hopefuls Injured at Top Model Auditions


New York City witnessed an attack of the 5’7” and under women yesterday.

A large crowd of auditioners frantically dispersed Saturday afternoon after a erroneous rumor went wild. The reality show wannabes had all been waiting outside the Park Central Hotel in hopes of participating in the the show’s first cycle for shorter women.

A nearby smoking car led to reports of a possible explosion or car bomb. This sent the group of thousands into a panic.

Six people were injured as a result of the frenzy; two were taken to a hospital with minor injuries while four refused treatment. Police officers arrested two women and one man for inciting to riot and disorderly conduct.

A statement on the program’s website simply read: “An altercation occurred today at a casting call for the next edition of America’s Next Top Model in New York City.  Representatives of The CW are working and cooperating with local authorities on the matter.”

It’s currently unclear how the canceled New York auditions might affect the upcoming casting calls in other cities.
