EndScore Report: More on the NBA Finals

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: NBA, Playoffs,

Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki do battle for the NBA titleIt's entirely too hard not to speak about the NBA Finals once again in this edition of EndScore Report. DV and Chris are absolutely loving this match-up between the Dallas Mavericks led by Dirk Nowitzki and the Miami Heat led by Dwyane Wade. LeBron James has disappeared during the NBA Finals during the fourth quarter and he'll need to step it up in order for the Heat to take Game Six and force a final and deciding Game Seven. However, if players such as Jason Terry and J.J. Barea continue to produce, it may be an NBA title for the Mavs despite what the Heat do. LISTEN UP!

EndScore Report: The NBA Finals Are Amazing!

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, Kudos, NBA, Playoffs,

Dirk Nowitzki leads the Dallas MavericksIn this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris rain praises upon the NBA Finals, which have been vastly entertaining due to the closeness of all the games, in particular, Games Two to Four. LeBron James has disappeared of late, but Dwyane Wade has come up big. However, is there anyone more important to his team than Dirk Nowitzki who helped the Dallas Mavericks win Game Four despite the burden of being sick with over 100 degrees fever. The series is tied between the Mavs and the Miami Heat with Game Five possibly foreshadowing the eventual NBA title champion. LISTEN UP!

EndScore Report: Goodbye, Shaquille O’Neal

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, Editorial, NBA, News,

Shaquille O'Neal retires and EndScore Report says goodbye. In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris bid farewell to one of the most dominating big men that ever played in the NBA, Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq left an indelible mark on the Association and will be remembered as one of the more entertaining and humorous players ever. His four championships - three with the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant, as well as the one with the Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade - gives His Shaqness the credibility to be mentioned with greats such as Bill Russell and Hakeem Olajuwon. However, for my money, I'd take Wilt Chamberlain as the most dominating force in the middle. Anyway, give our goodbyes to Shaq a listen!

EndScore Report: In Your Face Pippen and Goodell

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, NBA, News, NFL,

Scottie Pippen says that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan. Really, Pip?In this edition of "In Your Face," DV and Chris throw down on Scottie Pippen for his remarks last week of LeBron James being better than Michael Jordan. To paraphrase a new movie coming out, six titles is all the argument you need to say that Jordan is the best. Well, on top of everything else, like him transcending the sport of basketball like Babe Ruth for baseball. We also wag our finger at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for taking sides. Sure, he's employed by the owners, but when it comes to settling arguments between them and the players, he should at least try to be neutral to make sure there's football in the fall. LISTEN UP!

EndScore Report: In Your Face Wilpon and Russell Westbrook Naysayers

Russell Westbrook getting busy, why would you want to trade himThis week's "In Your Face" brings back idiotic New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon into the spotlight for his not understanding the concept of ownership and supporting the team you own. We also call out all of the Russell Westbrook haters that want the Oklahoma City Thunder to trade their 22-year-old, vastly improving, and dominating-type of point guard because of an assumption that he cannot co-exist with Kevin Durant. Ridiculous. LISTEN up!

EndScore Report: Fred Wilpon Is An Idiot

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Editorial, Front Office, MLB, News,

New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon does a good job blasting his own playersIn this edition of EndScore Report, DV and (mostly) Chris talk about New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon, who had some scathing remarks regarding his own players. His own players! Wilpon disses once thought of foundation players, Jose Reyes and David Wright, as well as Carlos Beltran. Way to go, Fred. Great way to devalue your players for any possible trades, as well as send a clear message to any free agents that the Mets ownership is a joke! Chris, the resident Mets fan, gets down with his bad self and DV just let's him do his thing. LISTEN UP!

EndScore Report: In Your Face Jorge Posada and David Kahn

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Editorial, Front Office, NBA, News,

David Kahn gets ridiculous at the NBA Draft Lottery. This week, we give an "In Your Face" to the New York Yankees' Jorge Posada for being unprofessional and whining. Also on the docket is the Minnesota Timberwolves' David Kahn for insinuating that the NBA fixes the NBA Draft Lottery for the big story. Maybe it's true, but what a wrong way to bring it up! Give this edition of "In Your Face" a LISTEN, why don't ya?

EndScore Report: Reviewing the MLB Season Thus Far

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Editorial, Kudos, MLB,

Evan Longoria and the Tampa Bay Rays are sitting atop the American League East for now.In this episode of EndScore Report, DV and Chris sweep across the MLB divisions for a quick recap of what's going down. It looks like the Tampa Bay Rays are gearing up to surprise the world again, despite losing some key players this past offseason. However, Evan Longoria is still there and healthy.  It's no surprise that World Series favorites, the Philadelphia Phillies are doing well, but it is surprising that the Florida Marlins aren't letting them run away with the NL East division. The biggest surprise has to be the Cleveland Indians leading the AL Central by a significant amount of games. The Pittsburgh Pirates have also been relatively surprising. However, it's still early and the cream always seem to rise to the top. Give a LISTEN to hear our thoughts on the Majors!
