Mark RecchiIn recent seasons, we’ve seen Stanley Cup rosters disband (if not explode) during the summer months. The Pittsburgh Penguins lost a good handful of players after their run, while seemingly half of the Chicago Blackhawks roster was spread out among the league after they won. The Boston Bruins are looking to try the opposite, as most of the members of the 2011 Stanley Cup winners are back, which many think will give them the upper hand in their road to repeat.

Owen NolanWith the invites of Owen Nolan and Todd Fedoruk to training camp, the Vancouver Canucks are trying to address some issues that stopped them from completing a successful road to the Stanley Cup last season. They fell one game short of the coveted prize, but many believe they were lucky to be anywhere close to that with the way their postseason was so up and down.

Tim LincecumThe San Francisco Giants have been anything but worthy defenders of their World Series championship lately. They’ve lost more than they have won lately and have seen a somewhat comfortable lead in the NL West over the Arizona Diamondbacks shrink to a mere half game. The latest insult came on Thursday night when Cliff Lee – who last pitched against the Giants as a member of the Texas Rangers in the Fall Classic – shut them down and kept them off the scoreboard, handing them their ninth loss in 14 games.

Kevin Kolb goes from the Philadelphia Eagles to Arizona CardinalsThis week, we give an "In Your Face" to the Arizona Cardinals for giving up a lot to acquire Kevin Kolb in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. Give it a LISTEN and thanks for supporting EndScore Report.

Evander KaneAs the Winnipeg Jets continue to sort out the many issues facing them before returning to the ice this fall, one of the more publicized issues revolves around Evander Kane and his wearing of the number nine. That’s the same number that former Winnipeg Jet and Hockey Hall of Fame member Bobby Hull wore and was retired by the first incarnation of the Jets. While technically that history now belongs to the Phoenix Coyotes franchise, many think it’s wrong for Kane to wear the iconic number.

Where will Plaxico Burress play next season after serving time in prisonIn this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris look at the Plaxico Burress situation. Will he go to the Philadelphia Eagles? The New York Giants? Another team? And can Burress do what Eagles quarterback Michael Vick did and return to an NFL field after serving time in prison and excel? LISTEN TO THE DEBATE!

Heath BellHeath Bell looks like one of the most attractive players who may be available at this year’s non-waiver trade deadline. Reports are coming out of most cities saying that team so-and-so has inquired about Bell, but does that mean San Diego Padres GM Jed Hoyer is likely to trade him? Not necessarily. Many GMs will call Hoyer simply to find out the asking price for Bell, many of whom have no interest in actually putting together a deal.

Ubaldo JimenezTrade discussions are popping up all over the place with the MLB non-waiver trade deadline fast approaching, and one of the top names circling those discussions is that of Ubaldo Jimenez, the hard-throwing righty with the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies don’t look to be going anywhere this season and shopping Jimenez around may land them a few solid pieces toward a rebuild or at least a restructuring of the lineup for the next few years.

In Your Face Roger Clemens Prosecution TeamIn this edition of "In Your Face," we call out the US government for their mishandling of the case versus Roger Clemens. Great job, prosecution. We also call out Pittsburgh Steelers defensive stalwart, James Harrison for making disparaging comments about Rashard Mendenhall, Ben Roethlisberger and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. In your faces!
