Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson to retire?

Phil Jackson, iconic coach thanks to his record 11 NBA records, is thinking about retirement and leaving the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.  Jackson who led both the Chicago Bulls and Lakers to three-peats, could win another trifecta should he come back for the 2010-11 NBA season and win an amazing fourth set of title three-peats.  However, Jackson’s health will be the most important factor on whether or not he returns to the sidelines, not the promise of winning another title or even money it seems.  It’s known that Lakers owner, Jerry Buss, wants Jackson to take a significant paycut from Jackson’s $12 million he earned this past season.  However, how do you not pay, arguably, the greatest NBA coach whatever he wants, especially coming off a championship season?  But, that’s if Jackson is deemed healthy enough.  This much is certain, the Lakers players and fans want Jackson back.
