Blake Griffin is an NBA All-StarLos Angeles Clippers rookie and odds-on favorite for NBA Rookie of the Year honors, Blake Griffin, is being praised about half a season into his NBA career. Griffin was named one of the Western Conference's All-Star reserves, joining the San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan, Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki, Los Angeles Lakers big man Pau Gasol, Utah Jazz point guard Deron Williams, and fellow first-time All-Star, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook.

The Eastern Conference All-Star reserves include four Boston Celtics - Kevin Garnett, who is making his NBA record-tying 14th consecutive All-Star team, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo, the Atlanta Hawks' Joe Johnson and Al Horford, and the Miami Heat's third musketeer, Chris Bosh. It seems that the NBA coaches, who vote in the reserves, felt that only the top teams in the conference deserved having their players in consideration for reserve status as only three teams in total had players chosen - Celtics, Hawks, and Heat.

The NBA All-Star starters include Kobe Bryant of the Lakers, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets, the Thunder's Kevin Durant, Denver Nuggets scoring machine Carmelo Anthony, and injured Houston Rockets center Yao Ming for the Western Conference. NBA Commissioner David Stern will select Yao's replacement. The Eastern Conference NBA All-Stars include Heat duo LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, New York Knicks' Amar'e Stoudemire, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, and Orlando Magic big, Dwight Howard.

Of course, with anything of this voting nature, there are some deserving players that didn't make the team. The snubs include Minnesota Timberwolves rebounding machine, Kevin Love, Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Golden State Warriors points producer Monta Ellis, the Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Randolph, Bulls forward Carlos Boozer, and Knicks' lead guard Raymond Felton. This is only to name a few. Who deserves to be on the team? Leave your comment below!

The NBA All-Star Game takes place in Los Angeles' Staples Center on February 20th.
