NBC Programs No Longer Available Via iTunes

Forget to Tivo the latest episode of The Office?  Lose this week’s Heroes due to a power outage?  If you find yourself in one of these predicaments this fall, don’t be looking to iTunes to save your butt. A dispute over money has severed ties between the Peacock Network and Apple.  It’s reported that NBC Universal wanted a dramatic price increase for their shows in their latest contract (over twice the wholesale cost).  According to Apple, …

An adventurous soul decided it best to put all the different scenes from Lost surrounding the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 together into one video sequence. Throughout the first three seasons of Lost, we have seen bits and pieces of the crash from various perspectives, and we love that we can now see them all at once. It provides a unique look at was going one on in the air, as well as on two …

Wow, good times. Beverly Hills, 90210 was a 1990s institution. And now the gang is back together again—only this time, not at the Peach Pit, and only for one night… and without Brenda and Dylan. But hey, you can’t have it all! I’m speaking of the recent cast reunion for the DVD release of the first season of Beverly Hills, 90210. “We always worked hard to stay together as a cast,” Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh), told …

A milestone for MTV—25 years (man, don’t I feel old?)! You would think MTV would pull out all the stops with an all-star celebration, a walk down memory lane, and oh-so-much-more. Looks like that’s not the case however, as MTV will be quietly celebrating their 25th. For those of us old enough to remember the pioneering moment when MTV splashed in our face, it’s a bit sad to think they aren’t embracing their age. MTV premiered …

Television programming is migrating to the Internet faster than birds can transport Avian Flu to North America.  On the other wing, NBC-TV is looking to bring Internet fare to their “must-see” schedule. The Peacock Network has all but signed for Carson’s Cyberhood, a half-hour showcase for homemade video productions that are making the Internet rounds (think Brokeback Mountain parodies and sendups of the Bush administration). Carson Daly has already cowboyed up as host and co-producer.  NBC …
