Lovin It/Hatin It: The Nip/Tuck Season Finale

Let me start off by saying that plausibility has never been Nip/Tuck‘s strong suit.  If it was, the series wouldn’t be so deliciously bad.  But after watching last night’s episode, I seriously had to say: “C’mon!” I really loved the show’s move to Los Angeles and talked about the reinvigorated program a few months ago.  Unfortunately, Tuesday’s closer was way too over the top for me….and now I’m afraid I have to admit I hated it. …

This Week on TV (2/18-2/24)

MONDAY (2/18) Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  Tonight may be the end of the show as we currently know it.  Maybe Michael can finally let go of that steely gaze now. Dance War (ABC, 8pm):  The next Dancing with the Stars contenders will be announced during the spinoff’s season finale.  Finally, a reason for me to watch. Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (CW, 9pm):  Robin Antin is searching for a gal to complete an entirely different musical …

This Week on TV (2/11-2/17)

(You can view the whole Revamped TV Programming Schedule here.)  MONDAY (2/11) Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 8pm):  “Sarah meets a stranger (Brian Austin Green) who shares a similar past.”  They were once both white rappers? Dance War (ABC, 8pm):  “The touring company of ‘High School Musical’ performs.”  The contestants, now left with inferiority complexes, are unable to go on. Flavor of Love (VH1, 9pm):  Third season premiere.  Is it a coincidence that a …

This Week On TV (2/4-2/10)

(You can view the whole Revamped TV Programming Schedule here.)  MONDAY (2/4) Welcome to the Captain (CBS, 8:30):  Series premiere.  “A Hollywood wunderkind in a career slump is persuaded by his friend to move into his famous Tinseltown apartment building with an eclectic group of tenants.”  Eclectic = show gone soon. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 9pm):  “John discovers the figure may be bleaker than he imagined.”  I’m confused.  If he’s currently in 2007, …

This Week on TV (1/14-1/20)

(You can view the whole Revamped TV Programming Schedule here.)  MONDAY (1/14) Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  Season resumes.  “Michael suffers the consequences of solitary confinement, Sona-style.”  I hate to think we left him in there these past few months. Kyle XY (ABC Family, 8pm):  Second season resumes.  “Kyle returns to the Tragers to tell them truth about his existence.”  Maybe ABC should consider stealing this show to fill their schedule.  Otherwise, I’ll never get around …

This Week on TV (12/17-12/23)

MONDAY (12/17) Duel (ABC, 8pm):  The first of six-airings this week.  In this game show, the contestants ‘challenge each other’s intellect and skill, but a single wrong answer disqualifies them from trying for the $1.5 million prize.’  Seriously - if a show is going to be named ‘Duel’, it should involve body blows. Clash of the Choirs (NBC, 8pm):  This four-part series brings us Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey and Kelly Rowland.  Surprisingly, this …

This Week on TV (12/10-12/16)

MONDAY (12/10) I Want a Dog, Charlie Brown (ABC, 8pm):  “Linus and Lucy’s little brother, Rerun, hangs with Snoopy and his own sibling, the desert-dwelling Spike.”  Was I the only one not aware of the What’s Happening!/Peanuts crossover episode? How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8pm):  “Ted asks his doctor on a date and his friends try to discourage him from dating someone he sees regularly.”  Relationships clearly work best when you never see them …

This Week on TV (12/3-12/9)

MONDAY (12/3) The Closer (TNT, 8pm):  The special two-hour holiday episode brings Brenda’s parents into the investigative fold.  Nothing says Christmas like talking blood with your blood. Heroes (NBC, 9pm):  (NOTE:  This is the last new episode left.)  ‘Peter squares off against former friends thanks to Adam’s confusing story about the Shanti virus.’  He shouldn’t fault Adam; the confusing storyline is to blame. K-Ville (FOX, 9pm):  ‘Boulet and Cobb investigate an insurance adjuster’s murder.’  As …

This Week on TV (11/5-11/11)

**NBC will devote this whole week to the environment and inject something ‘green’ into all their shows.  To enjoy it, we must turn on our TVs.**  MONDAY (11/5) **Special times for the ABC lineup tonight; Dancing With The Stars runs until 9:45 (pushing everything else 15 minutes late).** Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  Two-hour episode.  Michael finally learns that Sara has been murdered tonight.  I’m curious to see how steely his eyes can get. Everybody Hates …
