Friday Ratings: Signs of Life for Dollhouse, Terminator

After weeks of steady declines, FOX’s Friday night lineup did something unusual: it improved. Terminator and Dollhouse‘s increases gave the network a slightly less embarrassing 4th place finish. 8pm Ghost Whisperer (11.1 million, 2.6/9 in 18-49) remained even. Wife Swap (4.5 million, 1.4/5) picked up 300,000. Howie Do It (4.3 million, 1.3/5) was up a few notches. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (3.5 million, 1.2/4) grew by a 1/2 million. Everybody Hates Chris (0.7/2) turned in …

Friday Ratings: FOX Pales Against CBS Repeats

Although FOX had the perfect opportunity to exploit CBS’ repeat-filled evening, the network came in a disappointing fourth with the viewers. Terminator‘s even performance was unfortunately offset by Dollhouse‘s second week decline. 8pm Ghost Whisperer* (8.4 million, 1.9/6 in 18-49) had the night’s biggest audience. Wife Swap* (4.1 million, 1.4/4) traded in 200,000. Howie Do It (3.9 million, 1.1/4) did the same as last week. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (3.8 million, 1.3/5) improved by 100,000. …

Friday Ratings: Mediocre Debut for Dollhouse

Back-to-back shows about strong, good-looking women wasn’t quite enough for FOX Friday. Terminator took a major hit in its new time slot while Eliza Dushku was bested by the Supernanny. In other news, Diane Sawyer’s Appalachian Mountains special gave ABC a rare win in the demos, though CBS was still tops with the viewers. 8pm Ghost Whisperer (10.3 million, 2.4/8 in 18-49) was off by 1.1 million. Wife Swap (4.3 million, 1.5/5) was down 800,000. Howie …

Friday Ratings: Howie Ain’t Doing It Anymore

Despite premiering to 7.7 million viewers, Howie Do It has seen a significant drop in recent weeks. The prank program has lost approximately 3 million viewers since its January debut. Meanwhile, CBS remains strong as always. The network once again took another Friday. 8pm Ghost Whisperer (11.4 million, 2.8/9 in 18-49) was the evening’s top program. Wife Swap (5.1 million, 1.8/6) remained steady. Cops (1.4/4) averaged 4.4 million over an hour. A Howie Do It block …

Friday Ratings: ABC Forces a Tie with CBS

Okay, so CBS was only airing reruns. And ABC only tied in the demos. (CBS was alone with the viewers.) But when was the last time you could remember any other network making a showing on Fridays? 8pm Ghost Whisperer* (8.2 million, 1.9/6) was off by 3.1 million. Howie Do It (5.2 million, 1.5/5) gave up 300,000. Wife Swap (5.1 million, 1.7/5) picked up 1.2 million. A House* (1.4/4) entry pulled in 4.3 million. Everybody Hates …

Friday Ratings: Ghost Whisperer Alone on Top

You gotta hand it to Jennifer Love Hewitt. Personal troubles won’t keep that girl down. Ghost Whisperer‘s numbers helped give CBS a double-win on Friday night. 8pm Ghost Whisperer (11.3 million, 2.8/9 in 18-49) had the evening’s best numbers. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (6 million, 1.3/4) improved by 400,000. Howie Do It (5.5 million, 1.6/6) slipped by 600,000. Wife Swap* (3.9 million, 1.4/4) lost 900,000. Everybody Hates Chris (0.6/2) and The Game (0.7/2) …

Friday Ratings: Friday Night Lights Scores Higher Than Lipstick Jungle

There was a little bit of good news and bad news for NBC this weekend. Although the network saw smaller numbers for Howie Do It‘s second outing, the return of Friday Night Lights did better than the previous time slot holder (Lipstick Jungle). Unfortunately CBS’ dominant lineup made any improvements seem laughable. 8pm Ghost Whisperer (10.5 million, 2.5/8 in18-49) had the night’s best demos. Howie Do It (6.1 million, 2.8/6) was down 21% from last week. …

Friday Ratings: Flashpoint Starts with a Bang

This weekend’s premiere of Flashpoint made CBS’ Friday night lineup that much stronger. The series - with the help of Ghost Whisperer - returned to its largest audience yet. Meanwhile, the debut of Howie Do It did better than the group of ladies following it. 8pm Ghost Whisperer (10.6 million, 2.5/8 in 18-49) was up 450,000 from its last original. Howie Do It (2.1/7) kicked off with 7.7 million viewers. Wife Swap (1.6/5) attracted 4.8 million. …
