Thursday Ratings: CSI’s Loss is Anatomy’s Gain

William Petersen’s departure from CSI brought the show’s numbers back to Earth. As a result, the Alphabet network had the best demos of the evening. Unfortunately, ABC’s lucky streak probably won’t last long. We’re now just weeks away from the premiere of Survivor: Tocantins. 8pm Approximately 10 million (2.9/8 in 18-49) welcomed Bones to its new Thursday time slot. NCIS* (2.2/6) pulled in 8.6 million. Ugly Betty (2.4/7) turned in 7.5 million. My Name is Earl …

UPDATE: Entertainment Tonight now says Margulies will be returning with Clooney. After months and months of speculation, several sources are now claiming that George Clooney will be reporting for ER duty after all. The news comes despite denials last year from the Academy Award winner himself. It’s not known when Doug Ross will resurface on the show, but the network recently extended the series’ 15th - and final - season by three episodes. (The hospital …

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently: Ugly Betty: Betty may never change her style, but she’ll always have new love interest. Thursday Ratings: A Nice Welcome for Laurence Fishburne

A string of repeats on ABC - and a debut from Laurence Fishburne - only made CBS’ job a little bit easier last night. The Eye network took wins in both the viewers and the demos yesterday. 8pm Survivor: Gabon (13.2 million, 4.1/11 in 18-49) rounded up 400,000 more. Thursday Ratings: Viewers Fascinated by Barbara Walters

Despite the predictable names on the already-disclosed list, Barbara Walters’ annual special pulled in nice numbers this Thursday night. The highly-promoted lovefest helped ABC win the demos while CBS was on top with the viewers. 8pm Survivor: Gabon (4.0/11 in 18-49) got 12.8 million caught up in the game. Ugly Betty (2.6/7) entertained 8.5 million. My Name is Earl (6.1 million, 2.5/7) was down 10%; Kath & Kim (4.9 million, 2.2/6) was off by 11%. Kitchen …

This Week on TV (12/1-12/7)

(You can view TV Envy’s Master Programming Schedule here.) MONDAY 12/1) Shrek the Halls (ABC, 8pm): Hopefully this Mike Myers laugher will help us all forget The Love Guru. Inside the Actor’s Studio (Bravo, 8pm):  “Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter film franchise, charts his career journey.” I’m not sure I want to see James Lipton enthusiastically talking about Radcliffe’s nude Broadway performance. Heroes (NBC, 9pm):  “Ando, Sam and Frack try to restore Hiro’s …
