Sunday Ratings: NBC Tops Premieres with Football

ABC had Vanessa Williams, FOX had an hour-long Family Guy and CBS had a must-see watermelon mishap – but those three networks were missing one important thing: football. The gridiron action in Miami was hot enough to win both the demos and viewers for NBC. 8pm Approximately 15.9 million (6.5/16 in 18-49) saw the New York Jets beat the Miami Dolphins on Sunday Night Football. A late edition of 60 Minutes attracted nearly 13.9 million (3.8/10). …
