  • Price is also available at a bunch of other retailers around. Also, Fry's has the A3 for thisprice as well. Seems like Toshiba is agressively taking the market back this holiday season.

  • holy crap, the beta site must be getting slammed by folks; it's running slower than slow. I've been trying to register for the beta for over an hour and the pages keep timing out.

  • That was short lived. The average price for ebay w/ 1 game and an extra controller is around $1150-1200 USD. Sucks to wait in line for 3+ days and only make $500 especially when ebay and paypal are going to take their substantial chunk.

  • I'm sure this DLC will be locked to the downloader only much in the fashion that uniforms or stadiums currently are. The fact still remains that this situation will become worse because people continue to pay for this crap when it's been included in every game released since the early 80's. But I guess thats what happens when you have mommy and daddy's pocketbook supporting your gaming habit rather than actually having to spend your own hard earned dollar; that might actually open peoples eyes to what they are wasting their money on.

  • I'm not a big gambler; hell I'm not even a small time gambler but this just helps in my arguement that riders should be disallowed. This is attached to a bill that has to do with terrorism and port security, not even related to the internet, communications or networking -- Who would vote against the bill for safer borders even if they were strongly opposed to the rider item? No one, that would make them look like they hate America in the eyes of their constituents. One issue per bill...no more sneaking these small unrelated items onto bills you know stand no chance of being questioned or countered.

  • Good, I wish more states would do this. I hate when people are glued to their phone while driving. Handsfree sets are extremely affordable and for $50-$100 you can have a top of the line model.

  • I think the Wii is going to be great. I could care less about DVD playback -- I already have a dvd player and if you don't already what are you waiting for? They are like $19 these days...either way it helped keep the cost of the system down. If you are a parent looking for a videogame system for a child; or children and all you know is that the systems play games what do you choose : $250; $300; $400; $500; $600? my guess is it'll be somewhere in the lower range of those numbers, and I bet the kids will be just as happy.

  • I downloaded the videos for Viva Pinata; and while it doesn't seem like something I'd normally pickup it did seem to be something extremely different from all the FPS games that currently flood the market. For that reason alone it might be worth picking up.

  • I picked this game up the other day; it's definately an improvement over last year's attempt but it's still lacking. The graphics are decent, but the computer AI does some crazy things from time to time. Unfortunately if you want to play NFL licensed football you need to pick up this title.

  • DLC charges are just getting downright out of hand on XBL; unfortunately too many people have no problem paying for nonsensical unneeded content. Until people actually wise up and stop buying junk [overpriced junk] devs will continue to rack up the cost of your shiny new games. Hell, GRAW actually costs $80 [including tax] if you have any hopes of playing online anywhere besides 'Nowhere'. Also, check out all the buzz @ the xbox forums; apparently EA is releasing alternate jerseys for your favorite teams...but they are going to cost approximately 100-150 PER uniform PER team, and we thought the horse armor was overpriced. Welcome to the next generation gamers.

  • Ok, now that the comments have simmered down... I think this is the first item I've ever come across on GL that has ecxeeded 50 comments. Like I said earlier on, 360 will sell a ton, PS3 will sell a ton. I'm not debating that; I just think that the bottom line is that Sony's offering is going to be cost prohibitive for many consumers. Last Gen I had all 3 of the big players...all together the hardware cost me $700; now this time around it's going to cost you ~$1200 to go gaming with the big three; that's just for hardware too; don't forget to tack on $60+ for each title. If you make $40k a year that's going to be roughly 5% of your yearly income...until you tack on games, XBL live subscription etc. are you willing to take that plunge?
