  • I don't know how anyone can deny Obama' economic plan is socialism. To paraphrase Hank Jr., if my kid gets an A in class and the other kids get C-, why should my kid get a C- also just to distribute the grades evenly? He earned an A; the others didn't.

  • You are not alone, Sal, I've seen the pattern throughout the campaign.

  • McCain has never looked for sympathy, even though after all he's endured for his country, he has a right to. In contrast, Obama claimed he was taking a few days off his campaign, in order to visit his "ailing grandmother". Polls don't reflect the public attitudes immediately. That's no doubt why the latest AP poll has the candidates at a virtual dead even. It took nearly a week after McCain's successful appearance at the final debate to show his increase in support. You don't believe Ayers is a terrorist? You don't know much about recent history. (And by recent I'm talking about the 1960s and later.)

Is the McCain Campaign Looking For Sympathetic Voters?

  • Your final comments prove my point #7. Liberals claim they are so "tolerant", yet when it comes to conservative Christians, the left shows no tolerance whatsoever. It's getting to that time of year when Christians fear they might lose their jobs if they even utter "Merry Christmas" to customers or clients, instead of saying the generic "Happy Holidays." Hate is a mighty strong word--that's why I used it, and it's apparent that's why you used it as well. It signifies a narrow-mindedness that the left denies they have. And also, you might believe in "separation of church and state", but nowhere is that phrase in the Constitution. And can you, yourself, explain the one "Bush Doctrine"? Seems to me throughout his administration that phrase has had more than one meaning. And what makes you think that the chances of McCain dying in office are more than any other President? Remember, Kennedy was forty-six. Sarah Palin is "dangerously inept"? Any leader's policies are built to some degree on their values. I would far more fear a leader whose policies are built on secular humanism. Just look at China, Russia, North Korea, Cuba.

  • First off, why don't you think the thesis is a "must-read" for every voter? Why should they only read the introduction? Are you insulting the American voters' intelligence and inferring they might not understand it? I agree, they shouldn't rely on biased interpreters to explain it. And that's exactly what those who listen to the mainstream media (MSM) do. They need to read the entire thesis themselves, not just the intro. Why do I feel the progress made in civil rights in the '60s could be reversed? What I was getting at is that racial tensions have eased substantially since then. Isn't there the possibility that these tensions could arise again if we have an administration that constantly brings up the issue of race? It seems that Mr. & Mrs. Obama don't look at the voters as "Americans", but rather in the context of "Black" or "White". Regarding Stokely Carmichael, she refers to him as a "leader". If I were to write a paper on a white supremacist and call him simply a "leader" without using an adjective such as "violent", you'd call me a racist. She could easily have referred to Carmichael as a "violent leader". Instead, the feeling one gets is that she condones any means that would justify an end, including violence.

  • Thanks, Sal, for posting the videos. I believe as you do about Barack himself, and I intend to delve deeper into this for a blog in the very near future.
