Biography


      After graduating from college, I worked for 11 years in a local television newsroom.  I have since quit and turned to writing about more important things.  (I really do care who Jayden and Sean Preston end up with).  The bonus?  This may be the first year I haven’t had to work on a holiday.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and could never imagine living anywhere else.  My body has been appropriately acclimated and can no longer take extreme temperatures in either direction.  I won’t do well with global warming.

Come to think of it—I would like to take this moment to set the record straight.  “IT DOESN’T RAIN THAT MUCH IN SEATTLE!!!”  And if you insist that it does, then I suggest you go to Florida.  Seattle doesn’t even rank in the Top 5 Wettest Cities. http://www.livescience.com/environment/070518_rainy_cities.html

  • Well - the point of my particular post was to write something that may not be covered elsewhere. As I learned with my Cloverfield post, I wasn't the only person who shared my motion sickness experience. And speaking as someone who has experienced the problem -- it just doesn't go away. Once it kicks in, it doesn't end quickly. So the shakiness doesn't appear to stop, even if it does seem subtle to those who are immune to it. So I disagree with you when you say that Micah held the camera fairly steady. It doesn't appear that way to those already feeling sick. This post wasn't meant to start an argument nor was it - like I said in the beginning - meant to serve as a review, it was simply to relay my experience. Ironically, my hope is that people will be more prepared so that they CAN see the movie. Not regret they did.
