  • I was hoping, but knew it wouldn't be, that Tickle Me Elmo wouldn't have made the list lol. Seems they plan their shortages just to make a crazy rush and cause prices to rise on ebay. Sure, it helps with promotion but pretty jacked up when talking about a toy a kid wants. They don't understand not being able to get their elmo because they held back stock just to make the demand/shortage higher. Sorry for the rant lol. Now, Nintendo better not be doing the same thing because I will be pissed if I don't get my toy lol because there weren't enough to meet demand lol.

  • wow, that could be pretty fun actually. Have your friends over and some kind of integrated "heros" set where you can play the game as a band. I'm not much of a musician but I would be down for that lol.

  • It's hard to always blame the stores for preordering messes when the developers/distributors never give solid numbers but the whole 360 preorder was just a total mess. I want to preorder but I don't want crappy packs and I want my PRE ORDERED system when it comes out. Really screws up the whole idea of preordering months ahead of time only to get your prepaid, preordered system months down the line lol.

  • Glad(hoping) that $60 is the max. I am definately not liking this higher price strategy Sony is going with and although I hope it does well overall, a part of me hopes it fails completely so companies don't think they can get away with huge price increases.

  • Does the American package come with a Nunchuck Attachment included as well? Or maybe we get the game instead? You would think they would sell it seperate but would be nice if it is also included.

  • I was hoping it would be closer to the $200 mark but figured it would be 250. Not because I'm cheap but just so it will that much better heheh. Ok, yeah, I'm cheap too lol. Looking forward to it and excited to see they are including something playable out of the box. Sucks systems stopped shipping with real games and would be nice if they got back in that habbit. Doubt it though.

  • I can't wait to try out some wii games, including Zelda of course, but I hope there are alternate options. It seems like the sword/wiimote action could be a lot of fun but if it turns out to not be so fun for whatever reason, hopefully you aren't locked into playing one specific way.

  • Congrats Dbone! If people only realised how easy it can be to win some very cool prizes on Gear Live! Even though there are thousands of readers, very few take the time to join/take part in the contest. Sucks for them but great for you if you actually take part. The newest contest is the easiest yet. Just don't tell all those readers who don't bother joining in...makes your chances that much better ;). If you are one of those readers that never joins because you think you don't have a chance to win...how are 1 in 11 odds? Seems pretty good to me ;).

  • A part of me wants the PS3 to "fail" while the rest of me wants the PS3 and associated components to succeed lol. I am getting one regardless of the crazy price. Yeah, it's justified, in theory, but doesn't make me happy. I have a feeling second generation PS3 games will be incredible and that it will outshine the 360 later in it's life. I also hope that blu-ray does well and the PS3 will have a big role in that. Having a next gen media player included helps offset the price and may be the first player many people have. I know when the ps2 came out, I was too broke to buy a nice dvd player but my trusty ps2 covered both areas and at the time, the cost of the ps2 was cheap since it was taking care of multiple needs for me. I think the ps3 will do the same for a lot of people. That is, IF blu-ray lives and is a long term media. But, there is always that part of me that wants the ps3 to fail just so console makers don't get the idea that upping the price so much every generation works. If the PS3 does well and takes the market lead it will be a sure sign that consumers will pay whatever the console makers want, which could be bad for us broke consumers. If it fails, everyone will know that they shouldn't drift too far from the "sweet spot" regardless what is included. Though I don't know if I like the MS approach any better, by selling the two separate (360 and HDDVD).
