On Gear Live: Mario finally comes to the iPhone in Super Mario Run

  • @anon This is geared toward the college students not necessarily the institutions themselves. I'm not sure about high schools and such but on the college campus i've seen no expense spared for high end machines in just the computer labs. Also there is no where you can find a core duo processor in any machine for a little more than half that price.

  • This is a very cool device, but the reason this will stay in a niche market is because it isn't a phone. We live in a world of Trios and Blackberrys that can do all of these features and of course be used as phones. Most people do not want to carry too many devices around daily, because we simply don't have enough pockets. I carry a T-mobile SDA and my iPod and that's about as much as my pockets can stand.

  • Roger, maybe you don't see where Rob is going with this. You're sort of right in the case that "If it plays poorly nobody will buy it, if it plays well everyone will buy it," but some people may not give the machine the time of day to even try it out because the name has such a childish tone to it. Personally I am not happy about the name because I thought Nintendo was reaching for the more mature audience this time around, but this name says to me that they are hesitant to compete with Sony and Microsoft over here in the States. So Kudos Rob on the article and Roger you may want to consider the gray area between the black and white because not everything is as simple as you think.

  • It looks like it has the possibility for being a fairly inexpensive and massive harddrive. And Andru you're welcome for the digg story.

  • Well, the difference with the super bowl incident and the top 5 shows is the intent the viewer on watching the show. The top five list shows are directed toward adults who watch for the sex, violence, and gross stuff. The super bowl is more family oriented so all age groups were exposed to something that would usually be reserved for adults. I would say that was the problem the FCC had. I don't think anyone could truly disagree with the fact that violence and sex or more or less the conerstone of television. That and comedy are the only reasons television is worth watching. After saying that I still disagree with the MTV being penalized, becase like you I also think they are most qualified for the job.

  • An Online music store will be cool, i guess I'm thinking more of what Apple expects us to play them on. If you know what i'm saying *wink**wink*. I'm thinking the ipod video would be an almost simultanious release. Only speculating, but i hope it's sometime before christmas.

  • As creative as this project is. It's just not the best idea because of were the port is. You really can't use the mouse efficently or comfortably. Unless you use another mouse then it's cool. An extra item on your desk to freak out co-workers and friends

  • I am looking foward to the Need for Speed: Most Wanted game. In the past the Need for Speed series has been in my opion the best blend of arcade and extensive custom-make options. The fun factor and ease of use has always been prevalent in each of the titles. I have high expectations for the up-coming title. The game i am least forward to would have to be the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Role playing games aren't exactly my fancy, and Elder Scrolls games are infamous for be extremely long (even endless). I simply do not see myself dedicating that much time on one game when there is clearly a large variety of launch titles to experiment and well... life i guess. :-) I do not have the Sync Mag. box or anywhere to insert my address in the control panel. I would be glad to post it somewhere in my profile or email it to you, if the situation were to arise, because i would of course like to win but not let something like this be the reason I don't. I would just like to know if I am looking in the correct place?

  • Well i think daylight savings time is stupid enough, but since there is so much tech that has it programed in already i think it's not a good idea to change it. It won't be the biggest deal just a hassle.

  • well i tried out this program and was not satified. It does not start with windows and if you close it (on purpose or on mistake) any customizing you do to it will be erased. And if you like to shut down windows like i do (Alt+F4) chances are that you will close out the mac bar. They should make it where it's not so easy to close where it behaves like a toolbar rather than an app. one other thing that bothered me is that you can not drag trash into the recycle bin like you can on a mac. On the other had it is highly customizable, looks nice, and brings that sleek mac touch to windows. The problems that the mac bar has i seriously hope is a reflection of the project still being in beta. I am interested in seeing this project in it's final stage.
