They used to require skill and planning. I prefer turn-based strategy games now. Even though games like Advanced Wars can devolve into games of attrition, they still offer more strategy than most RPGs made today.

Anyone else dislike RPGs because they require no skill?

This game is beautiful on the PS3. And the reviewers complaining of the game's linear gameplay have a point. Cutscene-->battle-->walk down hallway-->battle-->cutscene...

This seems...prohibitive. I agree with Chris--maybe up to $500. You could get a really nice laptop for that price...
