First up, Project Scarlett - the all-new next-generation Xbox console that will be launching toward the end of 2020. Microsoft says Project Scarlett will be four times more powerful than the Xbox One X (currently, the most powerful game console on the market.) Additionally, the company announced and demo'd Project Xcloud. Xcloud goes into beta in October and allows gamers to play their Xbox games anywhere they have WiFi or cell connectivity.

In addition to all the Xbox news, we pick up where we left off in the last episode to talk in depth about the upcoming Apple Mac Pro.

I also mentioned the new Ecobee Smart Thermostat that I've been testing - here's the video if you want to check it out:

Bleeding Edge TV 600: Xbox One S Review

The new Xbox One S is Microsoft's redesigned game console that brings 4K Blu-ray, 4K streaming, HDR gaming, and more to the Xbox One platform.

Microsoft announced the #XboxOneS back at E3 this past June, just three years after the release of the original Xbox One. It’s a revised version of the original Xbox One hardware that features a streamlined form factor. The S stands for Slim, and the Xbox One S is 40% smaller than its predecessor, and that’s even when including the power supply inside the Xbox One S, rather than requiring the large, bulky external power supply that the Xbox One needs in order to function. It also now supports HDR gaming, 4K HDR streaming, 4K HDR Blu-ray, and 4K upscaling of games.

You can pick up the Xbox One S now.

Gears of War ultimate Mad World

Microsoft is set to release the remastered Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One in just over a week, and today the launch trailer was released, bringing back the Mad World title track that was used years ago with the original. You can watch the trailer after the break, which includes all new in-game footage that shows just how great Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is going to look once it hits Xbox One consoles. The original Mad World trailer is recognized as one of the most memorable video game trailers of all time, due to its use of emotion to convey the heavy situation that the Gears would be facing.

Gear of War: Ultimate Edition is completely remastered, and runs in 1080p at 60fps, even in multiplayer. The game will be available on August 25th, and you can pre-order it now. If you don't have an Xbox One yet, there is even a Gear of War: Ultimate Edition console bundle.
