White iPhone 4 April

Perhaps having exhausted all the iPhone 5 rumors, it's back to the fabled white iPhone. Reuters reports that Apple suppliers have started production on white iPhones, which could be available within a month.

Apple has not yet made any annoucements; Reuters cited people familiar with the situation. Foxconn's Hon Hai Industry Co. would assemble the devices, the report said.

Chatter about the white iPhone 4 got reignited last month after Apple released the white iPad 2, with no iPhone version in site. Phil Schiller, senior vice president for worldwide marketing at Apple, later tweeted that the white iPhone would be available soon.

"Hi Eric. The white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!)," Schiller said in response to a follower's question about where he could get the white iPhone.

White iPhone 4 Best Buy

We know that the white iPhone 4 has pretty much been like a unicorn by now, originally promised by Apple almost 8 months ago, and still nowhere to be found. However, it looks like that's about to change, as big box retailers like Best Buy and Canada's The Source have actually started making space on store shelves for the elusive smartphone. When they delayed the white iPhone 4 for the third time, Apple said it would appear this Spring. It started showing in Best Buy and AT&T inventory a couple of weeks ago, and the fact that stores are making room give some credence to the rumors that we might be seeing the white model finally available to anyone who decided to wait this long--but seriously, if that's you, you may wanna just wait for the next iPhone to drop in a few months.

White iPhone 4 left

The . Delayed multiple times, with current understanding that it will be available from Apple to the general public sometime before the end of the year, this is one of the most curious Apple delays in history. We’ve got our hands on a white iPhone 4 model—they aren’t non-existent by any means. In fact, a bunch of employees at Apple have them and use them as their primary device, and the factories over in Asia are pumping out the parts for these phones in order to perfect the white model to get it ready for the launch this fall.

We will be getting into a bit more about what’s holding up the white version of the iPhone 4 in just a bit, and we’ll also let you know how you can get your own. In our opinion, the white model is just gorgeous, but there are one or two things Apple will wanna fix before releasing them to the masses. For now, take a look at our white iPhone 4 hands-on gallery. One interesting note, it’s not just the front and back glass that are white—the dock connector is also white, as is the inside of the headphone jack.

White iPhone 4 delayed

Yesterday, we noted that none of the third-party stores that would be carrying on launch day would have any of the white iPhone 4 models for sale. We figured that Apple was likely keeping the white ones to themselves, since they didn’t have enough of them to go around. However, now that the iPhone 4 pre-order page is up, things look even more grim for anyone who was hoping to score a white iPhone 4 on day one. Even Apple isn’t allowing you to pre-order a white iPhone 4 for delivery or in-store pickup. So, if you want the iPhone 4 on June 24th, you’ll have to grab a black one. Looks like the white model won’t be available until later on in the summer.
